Square Yards raises Rs 112 cr from HNIs for office space in Hyderabad

Proptech firm Square Yards, which recently entered into the business of helping investors in having fractional ownership of commercial properties, has raised Rs 112 crore from high net-worth individuals for the purchase of over 1 lakh square feet office space in Hyderabad. This is the first property being offered by the company to investors for fractional ownership, said Square Yards which is mainly in the property and loans brokerage business. PropsAMC, the asset management services and data intelligence arm of Square Yards, has raised Rs 112 crore for its first Grade A commercial project in Hyderabad, according to a statement issued on Sunday. The project is Square Yards' maiden venture into the fractional product category, with an average investment of Rs 40 lakh from a pool of over 250 investors. AIMIM passes resolution on violence against Dalits, Muslims, asks PM to act

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Sunday passed several resolutions at the end of its two-day national conference in Mumbra in ,Maharashtra's Thane district, including on violence against Muslims and Dalits and demands from some Sangh Parivar segments to make India a 'Hindu Rashtra'. The conference was chaired by AIMIM chief and Telangana Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi. Bristol Myers Squibb to invest Rs 800 cr for drug development in Hyderabad

Bristol Myers Squibb, a world's leading biopharmaceutical company will establish a state of-the-art site here to expand its global drug development and IT capabilities with an investment of Rs 800 crore, a Telangana government press release said on Thursday. The announcement was made after Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao's meeting with Samit Hirawat, Executive Vice-President, Global Drug Development at BMS, who is in the city to participate in BioAsia 2023, it said. The company plans to begin operations in Hyderabad later in 2023, with the potential over the next few years to employ approximately 1,500 people who will be engaged in cutting-edge Research and Development and digital activities, a BMS release said. WHO to set up mRNA vaccine hub in Hyderabad: IT Minister KT Rama Rao

The World Health Organisation will be setting up mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid) vaccine hub in Telangana, Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao said on Tuesday here. mRNA is becoming a promising technology to address a growing number of infectious diseases. Speaking to reporters on various steps being taken by the state government to promote the life sciences sector, Rama Rao said Telangana has a target of making the industry worth USD 100 billion from USD 50 billion in 2021 and the workforce from the existing four lakh to eight lakh in the next five years. "In fact, this will be another big announcement. WHO is going to set up its mRNA vaccine hub in Hyderabad," he said refusing to provide details. Hoax bomb call at Google office in Pune; caller held in Hyderabad

Google company's office in Maharashtra's Pune city was briefly put on alert after it received a call about a bomb in the premises which later turned out to be a hoax, police said on Monday. A man, who allegedly made the call in an inebriated state, has been traced to Hyderabad and apprehended from there, they said. "The office, located on the 11th floor of a multi-storey commercial building in Pune's Mundhwa area, received a call late Sunday night that a bomb was kept in the office premises," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V) Vikrant Deshmukh said. After being alerted, Pune police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad reached the spot and carried out extensive searches, he said. "The call later turned out to be a hoax. The caller has been traced to Hyderabad and apprehended. He allegedly made the call in an inebriated condition," the official said. Further investigation is on into the incident, he added.
