Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be initiating various Railway projects worth Rs 2,400 crore in Telangana besides flagging off a Vande Bharat Express train between Hyderabad and Vijayawada, a press release from BJP said here on Monday. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Monday said it has busted two clandestine drug manufacturing labs here and seized around 25 kg of mephedrone worth around Rs 50 crore. The agency, in a release, said it neutralised the entire network by arresting seven persons besides the mastermind and financier. Acting on the basis of specific intelligence inputs, DRI began a well-coordinated operation on December 21, and busted the two clandestine labs, it said. A total of 24.885 kg of mephedrone in finished form, valued at Rs 49.77 crore in the grey market, along with in-process materials, sale proceeds of Rs 18.90 lakh, key raw materials, machinery and vehicles used for trafficking, was seized during raids on the two labs, it said. Seven persons carrying out the manufacturing in these two locations were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) which manages Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here on Wednesday said it has raised funds through the issuance of 10 year Listed, Rated, Redeemable, Secured Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) amounting to Rs 1,150 crore on private placement basis. A press release form the company said the NCDs which were raised on Tuesday will be listed on BSE Limited. The NCDs have been priced at an interest rate of 8.805 per cent per annum payable quarterly for an initial period of five years and thereafter the interest rate will be reset for next five years. The issue has been subscribed by eligible investors (Qualified Institutional Buyers, registered under SEBI). The Customs on Saturday seized gold biscuits and jewellery, totalling 2.9 kilograms valued at Rs 1.37 crore, from a passenger at the international airport here, an official said. Hyderabad Airport Customs intercepted the passenger who arrived by a flight from Dubai, according to an official release. In his baggage, 24-karat gold weighing 1,547 grams and 18-karat jewellery weighing 1,414 grams at a combined value of Rs 1.37 crore was seized, said Dulip Abraham, Deputy Commissioner of Customs (RGIA-Hyderabad), in a release.
