IRB Infra's toll revenue rises 10% to ₹554 cr on strong project gains

IRB Infrastructure on Thursday posted a 10 per cent rise in its toll revenue to Rs 554 crore in April compared to Rs 503 crore in the same month last year. Of its 17 tolls, IRB MP Expressway in Maharashtra contributed the major share of Rs 150.7 crore to the total revenue collection in April, up from Rs 140.7 crore contribution in April 2024, IRB said in an exchange filing. Contribution of IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway rose to Rs 65.4 crore from Rs 59.2 crore in 2024, it said. With Rs 32.7 crore, CG Tollway (Chittorgarh to Gulabpura NH 79) was the third largest contributor to the revenues in April, up from Rs 29.7 crore last year. Udaipur Tollway Limited collected Rs 27.2 crore toll revenue higher from Rs 25.5 crore a year ago. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reviewed eight development projects spread across the country and costing around Rs 90,000 crore as he chaired the 46th edition of PRAGATI meeting. During the meeting, Modi also reviewed grievance redressal related to Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and directed that all ministries and departments should ensure that the identification of beneficiaries is done strictly through biometrics-based Aadhaar authentication or verification, an official statement said. PRAGATI is a multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, involving the Centre and state governments. A report prepared by the Confederation of Indian Industry's Green Business Centre (CII-GBC) has mandated 15-20 per cent green space allocation for all new residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. CAG, BISAG-N sign pact to leverage technologies in remote sensing

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on Wednesday signed an agreement with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute of Space Application and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) to leverage advanced technologies in geographic information systems and remote sensing. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by T P Singh DG-BISAG-N and S Ramann Deputy CAG/CTO, in the presence of K Sanjay Murthy, CAG, an official release said. J&K Assembly passes Rs 7,019 crore grants for five key departments

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Saturday passed grants amounting to over Rs 7,019.18 crore for five key departments, including mining, industries and commerce, public works, labour and employment, and skill development. The grants, introduced by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary in the assembly, include Rs 70.51 crore for the mining department, Rs 1,086.03 crore for the industries and commerce department, Rs 5,283.74 crore for the public works department, Rs 353.44 crore for the labour and employment department, and Rs 225.61 crore for the skill development department. Core sector growth slows to 4.3% annually in November, betters Oct numbers

The output of eight key infrastructure sectors slowed down to 4.3 per cent in November 2024 against 7.9 per cent growth registered a year ago, according to official data released on Tuesday. On a monthly basis, the production growth of these sectors was higher than the 3.7 per cent expansion recorded in October 2024. In November, production of crude oil and natural gas contracted. The production growth of coal, refinery products, fertiliser, steel, and electricity moderated to 7.5 per cent, 2.9 per cent, 2 per cent, 4.8 per cent, and 3.8 per cent, respectively, against 10.9 per cent, 12.4 per cent, 3.3 per cent, 9.7 per cent and 5.8 per cent in November last year. However, cement output rose to 13 per cent in the month under review. PFC, BEML ink pact to finance, infra projects in defence, railways

State-owned BEML and PFC have signed an agreement to finance and execute critical infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of defence, rail transportation and infrastructure development. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between BEML CMD Shantanu Roy and Parminder Chopra, CMD of PFC in the national capital on Friday, BEML said in a statement.
