Medanta Q1 results: PAT rises by 4% to Rs 106 cr, revenue at Rs 861 cr

Global Health, which operates hospitals under the Medanta brand, on Friday said its consolidated profit after tax increased 4 per cent year on year to Rs 106 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2024. The company had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 102 crore in the April-June quarter. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 861 crore in the June quarter as compared to Rs 779 crore in the year-ago period, Global Health said in a regulatory filing. Medanta Chairman & Managing Director Naresh Trehan said that on July 22, 2024, the company has received confirmation from the Mumbai Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) regarding a successful bid for a land parcel measuring 8,859.24 square meter at Mauje-Oshiwara, Jogeshwari, Mumbai. IRB Infrastructures Developers Q1 results: Net profit up 5% at Rs 140 cr

IRB Infrastructures Developers Ltd on Friday posted around 5 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 140 crore during June quarter on account of higher income. It had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 134 crore in the April-June quarter of preceding 2023-24 financial year, the company said in an exchange filing. The company's total income rose to Rs 1,972 crore in the reporting quarter from Rs 1,745 crore in the year-ago period, registering an increase of 13 per cent. In a separate statement, Virendra D. Zydus Lifesciences Q1FY25 results: Net profit rises 31% to Rs 1,420 cr

Zydus Lifesciences on Friday said its consolidated net profit increased 31 per cent year on year to Rs 1,420 crore in the first quarter ended June 2024 on the back of robust sales. The drug maker had reported a net profit of Rs 1,087 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 6,207 crore in the period under review as compared to Rs 5,140 crore in the June quarter of FY24, Zydus Lifesciences said in a statement. "Sustained growth momentum across our businesses along with enhanced profitability drove our strong Q1 performance," Zydus Lifesciences Managing Director Sharvil Patel said. Eureka Forbes Ltd Q1FY25 results: Net profit up 26.4% at Rs 32.15 cr

Health and hygiene products maker Eureka Forbes Ltd on Thursday reported a 26.37 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 32.15 crore for the first quarter ending June. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 25.44 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by the firm now controlled by private equity firm Advent International. Its revenue from operation was up 9.61 per cent to Rs 553.37 crore during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 504.81 crore in the corresponding quarter. Eureka Forbes' total expenses increased 8.77 per cent to Rs 512.53 crore in the June quarter. Total income of Eureka Forbes was up 9.64 per cent at Rs 555.71 crore in the June quarter. GRSE Q1 results: PAT up 13% at Rs 87cr amid profit margin contracts

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), a leading public sector warship builder, reported a 13 per cent increase in net profit for the first quarter ended June 2024, reaching Rs 87 crore. The profit growth was driven by a substantial 34 per cent rise in revenue from operations, which surged to Rs 1,010 crore compared to Rs 756 crore in the same period last year. Essar Shipping Q1 results: Net loss of Rs 34.53 cr, income at Rs 11.57 cr

Essar Shipping on Thursday reported a consolidated loss of Rs 34.53 crore in the first quarter ended June 2024. The company had clocked a profit of Rs 26.13 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing to the BSE. Its total income from operations in the June quarter declined to Rs 11.57 crore, against Rs 48.48 crore in the year-ago period. Global Distriparks Ltd results: Net profit declines 23% to Rs 49 cr

Logistics operator Global Distriparks Ltd (GDL) on Thursday said its net profit declined 23 per cent to Rs 49 crore during the June quarter over the corresponding quarter of last year. The company had posted a profit of Rs 63.72 crore in the first quarter of FY 24, GDL said. According to the company, total revenue for the quarter under review stood at Rs 357.65 crore, down 4.59 per cent from Rs 374.85 crore in Q1FY24, it said. Revenue from rail vertical dropped 2.86 per cent year-on-year to Rs 289.90 crore while CFS (container freight stations) revenue slipped 11.32 per cent year-on-year at Rs 67.75 crore, the company stated. CFS revenue includes an adjustment of reduction of Rs 8.42 crore on account of a change in accounting method for Q1FY25, the company said. India Shelter Finance Q1 results: Net profit surges 77% to Rs 84 cr

India Shelter Finance Corporation on Thursday reported a 77 per cent year-on-year growth in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 84 crore in the three months ended June 2024. In comparison, the company posted a PAT of Rs 47 crore on the year-ago period. The company registered a 37 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) to Rs 6,509 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year (FY25) from Rs 4,759 crore in the year-ago period. Lincoln Pharma Q1FY25 results: Net profit jumps 24% to Rs 23.67cr

Drug maker Lincoln Pharmaceuticals on Thursday said its consolidated net profit jumped by 24.51 per cent to Rs 23.67 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024-25 compared to Rs 19.01 crore in the year-ago quarter. Total income of the Ahmedabad-bnased company rose by 10 per cent to Rs 157.69 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 143.31 crore in the first quarter of 2023-24. Its operating profit (EBITDA) rose by 16.65 per cent to Rs 33.14 crore in the quarter from Rs 28.41 crore in Q1FY24. Both domestic and export operations have shown robust growth and the company is confident to enhance profitability and margins going forward, the company said in a statement.
