Homes textiles major Welspun Living Ltd on Thursday reported a 31.4 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 122.87 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024 impacted by higher expenses. The company had posted a profit of Rs 179.05 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Welspun Living Ltd (WLL) said in a regulatory filing. The revenue from operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 2,489.61 crore as against Rs 2,410.87 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the third quarter were higher at Rs 2,369.72 crore as compared to Rs 2.214.29 crore in the same period a year ago, the company said, adding it had also incurred an exchange loss of Rs 8.01 crore in the third quarter. Waaree Energies Q3 results: Net profit grows multifold to Rs 506.8 cr

Waaree Energies on Thursday reported a multifold rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 5,068.76 crore for the December 2024 quarter, helped by higher income. It had posted a Rs 1,408.05 crore net profit in the year-ago quarter, the company said in an exchange filing. The company's total income rose to Rs 35,452.65 crore from Rs 16,517.74 crore in the October-December period of 2023-24. Its expenses stood at Rs 28,554.53 crore against Rs 15,173.08 crore a year ago. In a media statement, the company's Whole Time Director and CEO Amit Paithankar said, "Our solar business continues to be strong, and we are rapidly advancing in the adjacencies of energy storage systems, green hydrogen, inverters and renewable infrastructure". The momentum in this space is stronger than ever, and the company is well-positioned to capitalise on it, the statement said. Hester Biosciences Q3 results: Net profit jumps 3-fold to Rs 11.41 cr

Hester Biosciences Ltd on Thursday reported a nearly three-fold jump in profit for the December quarter of 2024-25, mainly driven by foreign exchange gains. The company's profit after tax stood at Rs 11.41 crore in the October-December quarter of 2024-25 compared to Rs 4.02 crore in the year-ago period, an exchange filing said. Revenue from operations dropped by 6 per cent to Rs 63.22 crore for the third quarter of 2024-25 compared to Rs 66.98 crore in the year-ago period. The company recorded an unrealised foreign exchange gain of Rs 7.83 crore due to currency fluctuations. Realty firm Arvind SmartSpaces Ltd has reported a five-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 47.73 crore for the quarter ended December 2024 on higher income. Its net profit stood at Rs 9.39 crore in the year-ago period. BoB Q3FY25 results: PAT rises 5.6% to Rs 4,837 cr, income at Rs 34,676 cr

State-owned Bank of Baroda (BoB) on Thursday reported a 5.6 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 4,837 crore in the December quarter. The Mumbai-based bank had earned a net profit of Rs 4,579 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Total income increased to Rs 34,676 crore from Rs 31,416 crore in the same period a year ago, BoB said in a regulatory filing. Interest income also rose to Rs 30,908 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 28,605 crore in the year-ago period. Operating profit grew to Rs 7,664 crore from Rs 7,015 crore in the third quarter of previous fiscal. On the asset quality front, the bank's gross non-performing assets ratio moderated to 2.43 per cent against 3.08 per cent a year ago. Similarly, net NPAs, or bad loans, came down to 0.59 per cent from 0.7 per cent at the end of the third quarter last fiscal. Airtel Africa Q3 results: Net profit at $133 million, revenue up 2%

Bharti Airtel's Africa business unit Airtel Africa has reported USD 133 million (about Rs 1,152 crore) profit for the third quarter ended December 2024, mainly on account of forex gain, the company said on Thursday. Airtel Africa had posted a loss of USD 6 million attributable to owners of the company in the same period a year ago. Its revenue increased by 2 per cent to USD 1,268 million during the reported quarter from USD 1,238 million in the December 2023 quarter despite a decline in average revenue per user (ARPU) -- a key factor to measure the growth of telecom operators. "Exceptional items were predominantly driven by the devaluation of the Nigerian naira over the respective periods. Dodla Dairy Q3FY25 results: Net profit rises 54% to Rs 63.56 crore

Dodla Dairy Ltd on Thursday reported a 54 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 63.56 crore for the quarter ended December on higher income. Its net profit stood at Rs 41.33 crore in the year-ago period. Total income rose to Rs 912.2 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 752.5 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding year, according to a regulatory filing. "The board has approved Rs 280 crores capex for setting up new plant & machinery and necessary infrastructure at Maharashtra, which includes previous approval Rs 15 crore for land acquisition. The funding shall be through internal accruals/debt," the Hyderabad-based firm said in the filing. "During the quarter, we reported a healthy 21 per cent revenue growth on a Y-o-Y basis while maintaining our margins, thanks to the healthy festive demand coming in just as we anticipated. HeidelbergCement India Q3 results: Net profit down 83.5% at Rs 5.19 cr

HeidelbergCement India Ltd on Thursday reported an 83.5 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 5.19 crore for the third quarter ended December 2024 due to lower volume and prices. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 31.47 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, HeidelbergCement India said in a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations declined 10.6 per cent to Rs 542.82 crore during the December quarter. It was at Rs 607.13 crore a year ago. During the quarter, HeidelbergCement's "EBITDA per tonne decreased to Rs 291, a decrease of 46.3 per cent due to lower volume and prices". Similarly, its revenue was also down "due to a decrease in volume by 5.3 per cent and price by 5.6 per cent," the company said in its earning statement. Homegrown FMCG major Dabur India Ltd on Thursday reported a 1.85 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 515.82 crore in the December quarter. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 506.44 crore in the year-ago period, Dabur India said in a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations was up 3 per cent to Rs 3,355.25 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 3,255.06 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Dabur India's total expenses were at Rs 2,826.20 crore, up 3.9 per cent in the December quarter. Total income of Dabur, which includes other income, was at Rs 3,483.28 crore, up 3 per cent. Gail Q3FY25 results: Net profit increases 36% to Rs 3,867.38 crore

State-owned gas utility GAIL (India) Ltd on Thursday reported a 36 per cent rise in net profit in the December quarter after a one-off gain from compensation received from an overseas LNG supplier for non-delivery of committed cargoes. It posted a standalone net profit of Rs 3,867.38 crore in the October-December period of FY25 compared with Rs 2,842.62 crore in the year-ago period, India's biggest gas transportation and marketing company said in a stock exchange filing. Revenue from operations was almost unchanged at Rs 34,957.76 crore with all three major business segments -- natural gas and LPG transportation services, natural gas marketing and petrochemicals -- reporting nearly the same revenues as the previous year.
