Reliance Industries Ltd on Friday reported a 2.4 per cent rise in its March quarter net profit, as its retail business rebounded and oil business defied global downtrend. Consolidated net profit of Rs 19,407 crore, or Rs 14.34 per share, in January-March - the fourth quarter of April 2024 to March 2025 fiscal (FY25) - was compared to Rs 18,951 crore, or Rs 14 a share, in the same period a year back, according to a stock exchange filing by the company. Profit was also up sequentially from Rs 18,540 crore in the October-December quarter. The company's revenue from operations rose to Rs 2.6 lakh crore from Rs 2.4 lakh crore recorded in January-March 2024.
Oriental Hotels Ltd, an associate company of The Indian Hotels Company Ltd, reported a standalone profit of Rs 17.69 crore for the January-March 2025 quarter, the company said on Friday. The city-based company had posted a profit of Rs 16.33 crore during the same quarter of the previous financial year. For the year ending March 31, 2025, the company's profit stood at Rs 44.52 crore, compared to Rs 55.34 crore in the previous year. Total income for the quarter under review rose to Rs 133.36 crore, up from Rs 110.73 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. News broadcaster New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) on Friday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 61.97 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 2025 on account of strategic moves to scale its presence, modernise infrastructure, and unlock long-term value. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 8.68 crore in the January-March quarter last fiscal. However, its consolidated total income was up 8.28 per cent to Rs 128.24 crore during the period under review compared to Rs 118.43 crore in the year-ago period, NDTV said in an exchange filing. The fourth quarter saw revenue growth "driven by high-impact coverage of major national events including the Mahakumbh, Delhi Elections, and marquee properties such as Yuva, NDTV Auto Awards, and others. Global product engineering and digital services firm Tata Technologies Ltd on Friday reported a 20.12 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 188.87 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2025 on the back of higher income and lesser expenses. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 157.24 crore in the same quarter of the year-ago fiscal, Tata Technologies said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated total income in the fourth quarter of FY25 stood at Rs 1,342.73 crore as compared to Rs 1,325.19 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were at Rs 1,088.20 crore as against Rs 1,094.4 crore in the year-ago period. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd on Friday reported a 25 per cent drop in its March quarter net profit as refining margins fell on softening global oil rates. Consolidated net profit was at Rs 469.93 crore in January-March (fourth quarter of 2024-25 fiscal year) compared with Rs 627.89 crore earnings in the same period of last financial year, according to a stock exchange filing by the company.
