Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC on Thursday reported 18 per cent year-on-year decline in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs187 crore for the three months ended March 2026. The company had posted a PAT of Rs 228 crore in the fourth quarter of the preceding fiscal year. Revenue from operations rose 7 per cent to Rs 458.2 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 429 crore a year ago, the asset management firm said in a filing to stock exchanges. The company's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 25.50 per equity share ofRs 5 each for financial year ended March 31, 2026, subject to shareholders' approval. The dividend, if approved by the shareholders, will be paid within 30 days from the conclusion of Annual General Meeting. The company said the record date for determining shareholder eligibility will be intimated separately after approval. State-owned Union Bank of India On Thursday reported 6.64 per cent rise in standalone profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 5,316 crore for three months ended March 2026. The bank had posted a PAT of Rs4,985crore in the same quarter of the preceding fiscal year. Net Interest Income (NII) or core income declined by 1.14 per cent year-on-year to Rs 9,406 crore during the quarter under review. Total income dropped to Rs 31,851.15 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 32,752.67 crore in January-March 2025, the lender said in a stock exchange filing. However, asset quality improved with Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPAs) declining to 2.82 per cent in the March quarter from 3.6 per cent in the year-ago period. Net NPAs also eased to 0.48 per cent from 0.63 per cent. Also, the board recommended a dividend of Rs 5 per equity share of Rs 10 each for financial year 2025-26. Coal India arm BCCL has reported a 58.9 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 27.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 on the back of lower revenue. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 66.50 in the year-ago period, Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) said in a filing to BSE on Wednesday. BCCL is one of the largest coking coal producers in the country. Tata group retail firm Trent Ltd on Wednesday reported a 32.57 per cent on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 413.1 crore for the March quarter of FY'26. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 311.6 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by Trent Ltd, which operates retail stores under the brand names Westside, Zudio and Star.
