Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal gives approval to investment promotion scheme

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma gave approval for the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2024 during a cabinet meeting on Sunday. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, while briefing the media about the decisions, said that the government aims to attract maximum investment for the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit scheduled to be held from December 9 to 11. In this context, the cabinet approved the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 (RIPS-2024), which she stated is the most attractive investment promotion scheme in the country in terms of incentives for investors. She said necessary provisions have been made in RIPS-2024 to attract investment. "The minimum investment limit for incentives under the Standard Services Package in RIPS-2024 has been reduced from Rs 50 crore to Rs 25 crore. Monsoon starts withdrawal; five subdivisions receive deficient rains

After bringing bountiful showers across large parts of India, the south-west monsoon has embarked on its return journey, beginning from western Rajasthan and Kutch. The process of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon, which has brought five per cent excess rains across the country, started on Monday, but the weather office has forecast widespread rains in several regions over the coming week. "Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some parts of West Rajasthan and Kachchh on September 23, 2024 against the normal date of September 17. Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of West Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat during next 24 hours," the India Meteorological Department said. In major reshuffle, Rajasthan govt transfers 58 IPS, 20 IAS officers

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Rajasthan has transferred 58 IPS and 20 IAS officers. At the same time, four Indian Police Service (IPS) and eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers were given additional charge. The state government's personnel department issued the transfer lists late on Sunday. 97% cases of atrocities against SCs in 2022 reported from 13 states: Report

About 97.7 per cent of all cases of atrocities against SCs in 2022 were reported from 13 states, with Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh recording the highest number of such crimes, according to a new government report. According to the latest government report under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the majority of atrocities against Scheduled Tribes (STs) were also concentrated in 13 states, which reported 98.91 per cent of all cases in 2022. Of 51,656 cases registered under the law for Scheduled Castes (SCs) in 2022, Uttar Pradesh accounted for 23.78 per cent of the total cases with 12,287, followed by Rajasthan at 8,651 (16.75 per cent) and Madhya Pradesh at 7,732 (14.97 per cent). Other states with a significant number of cases of atrocities against SCs were Bihar with 6,799 (13.16 per cent), Odisha with 3,576 (6.93 per cent), and Maharashtra with 2,706 (5.24 per cent). India aims to make interstate cheetah conservation complex within 25 years

India aims to build an inter-state cheetah conservation complex in the Kuno-Gandhi Sagar landscapes across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan within the next 25 years, according to the 2023-24 annual progress report of Project Cheetah. The report, released by the National Tiger Conservation Authority on the completion of two years of Project Cheetah on September 17, said while a new batch of cheetahs was likely to be brought to the Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary by the end of the year, they would be released into free-ranging conditions over the next five years. According to the "Action Plan for Introduction of Cheetah in Gandhi Sagar", five to eight cheetahs would be released into a 64-square kilometre predator-proof fenced area in the first phase, with a focus on breeding. Govt gives nod to NPCIL-NTPC JV for building nuclear plants in Rajasthan

The government has approved a joint venture between NPCIL and NTPC to build four 700 MWe nuclear power plants at Mahi Banswara in Rajasthan. The Department of Atomic Energy handed over the document approving the joint venture 'Anushakti Vidyut Nigam Limited (ASHVINI)'? to top officials of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on Tuesday, an official statement said. With this approval, ASHVINI has been authorized to build, own and operate nuclear power plants in India in accordance with the existing legal framework, the statement from NPCIL said. It said ASHVINI will be a subsidiary of NPCIL, which will have 51 per cent stake in the entity. Rajasthan blocks 236k suspicious SIMs, 229k phones to curb cybercrime

In a bid to curb cyber crimes in Mewat region, Rajasthan Police has blocked 2.36 lakh suspicious SIMs and 2.29 lakh mobile handsets, officials said on Monday. In the last two months, police have recovered more than 5,000 stolen and lost mobiles and returned them to their owners, a statement by the police said. According to the statement, "Operation Antivirus" is being run in coordination with the Government of India and the Centre's department of telecommunications. Director General of Police (Cyber ?Crime) Hemant Priyadarshi said police have identified cyber criminals based on their records in the 'Operation Antivirus' database and taken effective action against them. Delhi Police recruitment exam scam: Accused held from Haryana after two yrs

Kota city police has arrested one of the accused, who was on the run for two years, in the alleged Delhi Police recruitment exam scam, a police official said. The accused was also wanted by the Kota police in another case related to forged documents. Akhilesh Kumar Singh (32), a resident of the Jamui district in Bihar and currently living in Delhi's Rohini, was arrested from Haryana's Jind district on Saturday in connection with a case of forged documents, Kota City SP Amrita Duhan said. Four from Rajasthan killed, six injured as SUV crashes into truck in MP

Four persons from Rajasthan were killed and six others accompanying them injured when their SUV rammed into a truck in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of Saturday, police said. The accident occurred around 4 am on Biaora-Bina highway under Lateri police station limits, a police official said. "A group of 10 persons, including seven women, from Jhalawad in Rajasthan was returning from a pilgrimage when their Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) rammed into a truck.
