There is a silent revolution against the ruling BRS in Telangana and people are gaining confidence that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's government will lose and the BJP will come to power in the upcoming Assembly polls, state BJP chief G Kishan Reddy said on Monday. Addressing a press conference, Reddy, also Union Minister for Tourism, said despite some false survey reports being circulated, the BJP candidates are good at getting good response in the field and people were receiving the party's manifesto positively. Amit Shah to release BJP manifesto for Telangana assembly elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to release the BJP's manifesto for upcoming Telangana assembly polls during his visit to the state on Saturday. After launching the manifesto, Shah will address poll rallies in Gadwal, Nalgonda and Warangal. "Amit Shah will release the manifesto at 10 AM before leaving for the rallies," party sources said. The BJP is expected to step up its campaign for the November 30 polls with several union ministers participating in the rallies in the coming days. Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy had earlier said the state unit had requested the party high command to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed four rallies in the state in the run up to the polls and is awaiting the response. No hung assembly, BJP will get majority in Telangana: Kishan Reddy

In the face of "simmering anger" against the ruling BRS in Telangana, the BJP will get a comfortable majority to form its first government in the state after the November 30 polls, state BJP chief G Kishan Reddy has said. 4,798 candidates file nominations for 119 assembly seats in Telangana

A total of 4,798 candidates from various political parties filed 5,716 sets of nominations for the 119 seats ahead of the November 30 Assembly elections in Telangana. The process of filing nominations began on November 3 when the gazette notification for the election was issued and continued till November 10, the last day for submitting nominations. The nominations would be scrutinised on November 13 and November 15 is the last date for withdrawal of candidatures, according to the schedule of election. Gajwel Assembly constituency saw the maximum number of 145 candidates, who filed 154 sets of nominations.
