Threat posed by terrorism needs a unified voice from world community: India

India on Thursday urged the international community to "call out those" who provide safe havens to terrorists and come to their defence including in the UN Security Council sanctions regimes, a veiled reference to Pakistan and China. The international community must work together to "starve" terrorists of finance and emerging technologies to stop destruction around the world, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said on Saturday. In an address at the meeting of the UN Security Council's Counter-Terrorism Committee, Cleverly called on countries to fight "online" terrorism including global terror recruitment campaigns. "Within the space of two decades, terrorists have gone from circulating crackly voice recordings from the depths of Tora Bora, to global online recruitment and incitement campaigns, to live-streaming attacks," he said. Hybrid terrorist, one helper arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore

One hybrid Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist and an overground worker who was helping terrorists have been arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore and arms and other incriminating material were recovered from their possession, police said on Tuesday.The arrests were made in a joint operation conducted by Sopore Police along with security forces. J-K: Cop, LeT militant injured in encounter in Srinagar's Nowhatta

A constable and a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant were injured in an encounter in Nowhatta area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday on the eve of the Independence Day, police said.
