DeVANS Modern Breweries enters into production tie-up with Vairagi in UP

DeVANS Modern Breweries has entered into a production tie-up with Vairagi Brewery in UP's Barabanki, further enhancing its production capacity by 24,000 KL, amounting to 2 million cases per year, company officials said. The production tie-up comes barely a year after the company significantly boosted its production capacity through production tie-ups in Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand. "Uttar Pradesh is a huge beer market and DeVANS was finding it increasingly difficult to feed the market to its full potential due to capacity constraints. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asked entrepreneurs to invest in the state, saying the government will ensure their security. Speaking at the inauguration of a beverage plant here, Adityanath said there was a time when investors used to shy away from investing in Uttar Pradesh but all that has changed since 2017 when the BJP came to power. "During the first investor conference in 2018, when a target of Rs 2 lakh crore was set, people laughed at our decision. 'Govt allocated Rs 100 cr for Aspirational Blocks Programme this fiscal'

The government in this financial year has allocated Rs 100 crore for the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP), which aims to improve governance at the block level, in order to enhance the quality of life of citizens, a top government official said on Saturday. The Aspirational Blocks Programme is being implemented in 500 aspirational blocks across 329 districts in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the nationwide programme on January 7. "The government has allocated Rs 100 crore for the Aspirational Blocks Programme in 2023-24... We expect that all 500 backward blocks will reach the state average in terms of development," the official said on the condition of anonymity. Out of 500 aspirations blocks, 160 blocks are part of the 112 aspirational districts.
