Rajnath targets Congress, urges Maharashtrians to vote for BJP

Chimur, Oct 5 (ANI): Taking potshots at the Congress, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday urged the people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming assembly polls for prosperity and progress of Maharashtra. He attacked Congress for not being able to make India a powerful nation in its sixty years of governance. He further said that BJP after coming to power in the last four months has controlled the inflation which had reached skies during Congress rule. The election for 288-member Maharashtra Assembly is scheduled to be held on October 15 while the counting of votes will take place on October 19.

PM Modi attacks NCP- Congress, says parties troubled due to people's support to govt Part - 2

Kolhapur, Oct 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing election rally in Kolhapur district of Mharashtra attacked NCP and Congress and said that the parties are not troubled by him but the crowd and people's support to the government and BJP. He also said that Congress is asking report of works done by his government in 60 days when they failed to give report of their in 60 years. The prime minister also put emphasis on the use and popularity of kolhapuri chappal (sandals) which will prosper the nation in the long run. He also said that if people wanted to save Maharashtra, they need to do away with Congress as well as NCP. Modi also made a reference about his US visit and said that people were all cheer not for him but for the population of India who voted to bring a majority government. He also credited his immense energy to the support by people.

Congress and NCP release manifesto for upcoming Maharashtra polls

Mumbai, Oct 02 (ANI): Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) released its manifesto for the state assembly elections on Thursday. Present during the event was also Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan among other party leaders. Same day also witnessed manifesto release by their ex-ally Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). New Delhi, May 19 (ANI): BJP leaders on Monday met party President Rajnath Singh to congratulate him for the tremendous win in General Elections. Jagdambika Pal said that the party observed victory under the leadership of Narendra Modi and all leaders will try hard to fulfill all promises made by the BJP. Three RJD MLAs resign to support Nitish

Patna, May 18 (ANI): Three rebel RJD MLAs on Sunday resigned from the Bihar Assembly to extend their support to Nitish Kumar after his resignation as Bihar chief minister. Samrat Chaudhary, Ram Lakhan Ram Raman and Javed Iqbal submitted their resignation letters to Speaker Udai Narayan Choudhary. Samrat Chaudhary said that he has resigned to support Nitish. Chaudhary, Raman and Iqbal were prominent among 13 RJD MLAs who had earlier proposed to the Speaker to recognise them as a separate group.

JD (U) supporters stage protest against Sharad Yadav

Patna, May 18 (ANI): Workers and supporters of JD (U) staged protest against party chief Sharad Yadav and urged Nitish Kumar to assume his office. Party workers took to streets on Sunday and demanded that Kumar should take back his decision of resigning as the state chief. Kumar, leader of JD (U), tendered his resignation on Saturday (May 17) to Governor DY Patil after taking moral responsibility of the defeat in general elections. Later, Patil accepted the resignation. The JD-U won only two parliamentary seats out of 40 in Bihar while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) cornered 31 seats.

New Delhi/ Patna, May 18 (ANI): BJP leaders react over the recent heat of events in Bihar politics after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation.
