Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 01 (ANI): Residents of Room village in Shankargarh near Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj are facing acute water crisis. They are forced to drink dirty water as there's no water in locality. Villagers often fall sick due to consuming unclean water. Speaking to ANI, a local said, "There's severe water crisis, people here dig pits to get access to water. The water is unclean and people tend to fall ill often. People who don't even have food can't possibly afford treatment."

Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Jun 01 (ANI): Three people died after roof of a house collapsed on Saturday early morning in Mangalgi village Karnataka's Kalaburagi. Four people have sustained injuries in the incident. Injured have been admitted to hospital. A case has been registered in the matter.
Gurugram (Haryana), Jun 01 (ANI): Raid conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Gurugram police in possession of fake currency worth Rs 1.20 crore in sector 48 on Wednesday. The fake currency notes seized from their possession were in denomination of Rs 2000. Two people were arrested in this incident. Police have registered case in this matter. Further investigation is underway.
Nagpur (Maharashtra), Jun 01 (ANI): Nitin Gadkari received warm welcome on arrival in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Gadkari won from Nagpur constituency by a margin of around 1.97 lakh votes. He was up against Congress's Nana Patole. Gadkari was appointed Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Hyderabad, Jun 01 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday said Muslims are free to follow their faith and visit mosques and should not be worried about the BJP's return to power, as the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion to every citizen. "If Modi can visit a temple we can visit our mosques, if Modi can go sit in a cave, we Muslims can also proudly say our prayers in mosques. Damoh (Madhya Pradesh), Jun 01 (ANI): 2 schools in Madiyado and Rajpura of Madhya Pradesh's Damoh are being used to store tendu leaves, while schools are closed for vacations. District Education Officer said, "No order given that schools be used to store Tendu leaves. We'll probe. Action will be taken in case of any violation." He further added, "Any such incident will impact the educational activities in the school."
Mumbai, Jun 01 (ANI): 44-year-old man succumbed to the injuries he sustained when he tried to stop a group of people from beating a man in Bandra Kurla Complex area around 10:45 pm on May 31. FIR registered against at least 5 named and 25 unnamed persons. Body sent for postmortem. Further investigation is underway. While speaking to media on this issue Inspector of Police of Bandra Kurla Complex Kalpana Gadekar said, "Complainant used to post video of him speaking about irregularities by builders in the area and role of corporator in it. Shivamogga (Karnataka), June 01 (ANI): Shivamogga city of Karnataka might face acute water shortage as Tunga dam that provides water to the city is reaching a dead storage level. The city which has a population of about 3.60 lakh is dependent on the dam water for its everyday water supply; however, the intense summer season has led to dip in the present water level in the dam. Outlining the gravity of the alarming situation, Executive Engineer Ramesh told ANI, "The Monsoon is delayed. Because of dead storage, we are only able to draw very less amount of water. We can manage for a month with available water. We have requested the irrigation authority to take suitable action to preserve the required amount of water. We cannot use dead storage water for any purpose except drinking, so district administration has ordered to preserve water". Ramesh also said that the district administration has already issued orders to not supply water for irrigation and has made water supply for the public
Charaideo (Assam), Jun 01 (ANI): A leopard was brutally killed to death on Friday by villagers in Assam's Sonari area of Charaideo district. They chopped off the paws and its tail and hanged from a pole. People said they were forced to kill the leopard because the animal was creating terror in the area for the last few weeks. Forest Department has sent the body for postmortem. The Case has been registered.

As Cnet reports, with voice integration, users can place a call, send voice messages and Drop-In on other Alexa devices right from the Fire TV Cube. To use new voice features, select your Fire TV Cube from your list of devices in the Alexa app and then enable Alexa Communications and Drop-In functions. The new feature will be rolled out to every compatible device in coming weeks.
Mumbai, Jun 01 (ANI): After a video, of a street food vendor using tap water from a railway station toilet here to prepare food, was widely shared on social media, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has initiated an inquiry. It has also issued a public warning against usage of such water, which could be contaminated. While speaking to ANI, Shailesh Adhav, Food and Drug Administration, said, "The video has come to our knowledge. We'll conduct an enquiry against him as well as others who use such methods to do business."
New Delhi, Jun 01 (ANI): According to a new study, people who use dating apps may be at an increased risk of controlling their weight in unhealthy ways. The study stated that vomiting, laxative use, diet pill, and fasting are among the most common ways to control weight. The study was published in 'Journal of Eating Disorders'. A team of researchers examined data on 1,726 adults enrolled in the Harvard Chan Physical Activity study who completed an online survey assessing their dating app use within the past 30 days and their engagement in six unhealthy weight control behaviours (UWBCs) within the past 12 months. "When comparing those who do not use dating apps to those who do, we found that dating app users had significantly elevated odds of engaging in the six unhealthy weight control behaviours we investigated: vomiting for weight control, using laxatives for weight control, fasting for weight control, using diet pills, using muscle-building supplements, and using anabolic steroids,"
Govind Ghat (Uttarakhand), Jun 01 (ANI): One of the most revered Sikh pilgrimage sites, Hemkund Sahib Gurdwara is set to open its portal for devotees on Saturday, after a six-month long winter break. The first batch of pilgrims to Hemkund left from Govind Ghat Gurudwara on Friday after the pilgrimage was formally flagged off by the Garhwal Commissioner BVRC Purushottam. As many as eight thousand Sikh devotes are part of the first batch of pilgrims which will be trekking for 18 kilometres from Pulna to reach the Gurudwara which is situated at an height of over 15,000 feet from the sea level. The Gurudwara is situated beside a lake and it is believed that the 10th Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh had meditated at the site. Thousands of pilgrims take the trek every year to reach the holy site.

Kolkata, Jun 01 (ANI): While speaking to mediapersons, West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Dilip Ghosh slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday and said, "She got angry after hearing 'Jai Shri Ram' proves that Mamata Banerjee seems to have either lost her mind or it is her reality which has come out after the defeat in Lok Sabha polls." Banerjee on Thursday reprimanded people chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan in Kolkata saying, "they are BJP people and criminals from outside the state."
