12 injured in grenade blast outside Guwahati mall

Guwahati (Assam), May 16 (ANI): The number of injured persons has risen to 12 in a grenade explosion outside a mall in Guwahati. All the injured are in stable condition. Mau (Uttar Pradesh), May 16 (ANI): Expressing confidence that incumbent BJP would be ousted from power at the Centre in these elections, BSP supremo Mayawati said that if voted to power, her government will give permanent jobs in government and non-governmental sectors to the poorest in the society. Mayawati was addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh's Mau on May 15, where she also took a dig at Congress party for its NYAY scheme. Mayawati stated, "To influence voters, especially the extremely poor, Congress party announced Rs 6,000 per month for them. This is not a permanent solution of eliminating poverty. Keeping this in mind, we would like to say that if we get an opportunity to form the government at the Centre, then instead of providing Rs 6,000 per month to extremely poor families, we will give permanent jobs in government and non-government sectors." >

Barasat (WB), May 15 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday slammed TMC over attack on BJP president Amit Shah's roadshow and said that the incident will prove to be 'final nail in TMC's coffin'. "TMC has initiated registering black chapters in democracy and this attack will be the final nail in TMC's coffin," said CM Yogi. Violence erupted during Amit Shah's roadshow on May 14 in Kolkata. Barasat (WB), May 15 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched another attack aimed at Mamata Banerjee while addressing a public rally in West Bengal's Barasat. Slamming the chief minister, CM Yogi said, "In the whole country, Durga Puja and Muharram fell on the same day. In UP, officers asked me, should we change timing of Puja? I said, timing of the Puja won't be changed, if you want to change timing, change the timing of Muharram procession."

He emphasized on saying that the Yatra is not only important for those going for spiritual or religious purposes but also to build relations between India and China.The Foreign Secretary also informed that there will be total 18 batches of Kailash Manasarovar Yatra for this year. These batches consist of 50 pilgrims who will trek across the Uttarakhand's Lipulekh Pass. 10 other batches consisting 50 pilgrims each will go by the Sikkim's Nathu La route.

Shrine of Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah reconstructed with new design in Rajouri

Rajouri (JandK), May 15 (ANI): The famous shrine of Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah have been reconstructed with new design of wooden art in J and K's Rajouri. This shrine is located near Pir Panjal range. It is reconstructed on new style with different designs and art of wooden carving. People from all over India visit this famous shrine every day and offer their prayers. People of all religion including-Hindu, Muslims, Sikh and Christian visit this shrine. While speaking to ANI, one of the devotee said, "I have come here to visit this place almost after 60 years. Last, I came here in 1960 and now this place has completely changed. The famous shrine of Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah have been developed in Rajouri. 'Langar'is being organised here since last 250 years and the rush has increased here due to better facilities. There is a huge difference in earlier and today's time."

Will fight this case, not apologise: Priyanka Sharma after getting bail

Kolkata (WB), May 15 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth wing worker from West Bengal, Priyanka Sharma. She was released on Wednesday. Sharma, who held a press conference after her release, alleged that the West Bengal government delayed her release and said that the police didn't allow her to meet her advocate, family and made her sign an apology. She said that she will fight this case and will not apologise. Priyanka Sharma was arrested on May 10 for sharing a morphed photograph of the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on social media.

SC's order to forthwith release Priyanka Sharma wasn't followed for 24 hours: Lawyer

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): While addressing the media in the national capital today, Priyanka Sharma's lawyer Neeraj Kishan Kaul said, "I'm told, subject to verification, that she was released at 9:40-10:00 am and that too after made to sign a statement prepared by the police authorities. It reflects extremely disturbing trend that the Supreme Court's (SC) order that said 'forthwith release her' wasn't followed for 24 hours." Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) youth wing worker Priyanka Sharma was granted conditional bail by the SC on Tuesday.
