Alwar (Rajasthan), May 16 (ANI): While addressing a press conference, Congress president Rahul Gandhi met with the family of Alwar gangrape victim and assured that the action will be taken against the culprits who are involved in the incident. He said, "Soon after I heard about the incident, (Alwar gangrape) I spoke to Ashok Gehlot ji. This is not a political issue for me. I met the victim's family and they have sought justice which will be done. Action will be taken against all the culprits."

Air Force provides EVM through helicopter in HP's Lahaul-Spiti

Lahaul-Spiti (HP), May 16 (ANI): Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) were provided through air to the polling booths of Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti. After Cyclone Fani, deer gradually return to Balukhand-Konark Wildlife Sanctuary

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 16 (ANI): Nearly 4,000 deer were missing since the devastating Cyclone Fani hit Odisha have started returning to the Balukhand-Konark Wildlife Sanctuary in Puri, according to forest officials. Sanjay Singh Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department, Odisha on Wednesday said forest rangers reported that the deer have begun returning to the sanctuary situated in the Puri district, which bore the maximum brunt of the cyclone that made landfall on May 3. "Balukhand Sanctuary in Puri which was on the route of the cyclone Fani was badly damaged. It had a large presence of deer. Fortunately, we were able to locate the deer that had gone to different areas. "The deer are gradually returning. All their habitat has been damaged and the government will take special measures to rebuild that habitat which was there for the wildlife," Singh said. Hyderabadi woman rescued from Oman, thanks EAM Swaraj

Hyderabad, May 16 (ANI): A Hyderabadi woman named Kulsum Banu, who was trafficked to Oman on the pretext of a job, has been rescued after five months. Banu thanked External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj for her help. "My daughter has complained about the matter to EAM Sushma Swaraj through a letter. After that, Indian Embassy paid a fine of amount of five thousand Riyal, which was imposed on me and sent me back to India. I reached Hyderabad on May 8 with the help of EAM Swaraj and Indian Embassy in Oman. I would like to thank Sushma Swaraj and Indian Embassy," she said while speaking to ANI. According to Banu, her employers handed her over to a local agent in Muscat, who took her to his home. She alleged that the agent locked her in a room for ten days without food and also thrashed her several times. "Later I approached Indian Embassy there. The officials kept me in the embassy for four months. Then I contacted my daughter and explained to her my problem," she said. >
