New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slammed Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government for denying permission to hold Amith Shah's rally in Jadavpur. Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "Today our party's president Amit Shah had a rally in West Bengal's Jadavpur. We gave the application about four days back. Last night we were informed that we will not get the permission, without stating any reason. Yesterday, permission of landing helicopter was also denied. It is the murder of democracy."

"The incident took place in Alwar, she should demand resignation of Rajasthan's Chief Minister or demand CBI enquiry, and to defend it, she is demanding resignation of the Prime Minister". Recently, BSP chief slammed PM Modi by saying, "How can he respect others' sisters and wives when he has left his own wife for political gains? It is my special appeal to women of this country not to vote a person like this. PM Modi, in this election, kept changing his caste according to the situation." On April 26, a Dalit woman was gangraped by six men who allegedly also beat up her husband in Alwar.

He said, "Bhopal Gas tragedy happened, till now people are suffering, if we talk about it, their style remains the same 'hua to hua'. Gurdaspur (Punjab), May 13 (ANI): Convoy of actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol met with an accident in Punjab's Gurdaspur. The incident took place at Gurdaspur-Amritsar National Highway when one of the tyres of the sport utility vehicle burst. At least four vehicles in Deol's convoy rammed into each other but no one was injured. The actor was on his way for a roadshow. Sunny Deol is BJP's candidate from Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha elections. Gurdaspur seat was represented four times by late actor Vinod Khanna, who passed away due to cancer in April 2017.
Asansol (West Bengal), May 13 (ANI): Police seized cash worth Rs 1 crore in West Bengal's Asansol on Sunday. Two persons have been arrested in this matter and heavy cash was recovered. The cash was recovered from Asansol railway station.
New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): Former Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) Bank chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) Chanda Kochhar arrived at the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi today. She was summoned by ED in connection with ICICI-Videocon loan case. Chanda Kochhar's husband Deepak Kochhar was also summoned by ED in connection with this case.
New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): India has convened a World Trade Organisation (WTO) ministerial meeting of 16 developing and six least developed countries in Delhi today. Several leaders and business delegates attended this meeting in the national capital. Issues such as impasse on the appointment of WTO's appellate body members and way forward on reforms at the global trade body would be discussed in the meeting on May 13-14. The meeting is being held at a time when the multilateral rule-based trading system is facing serious and grave challenges. Participating countries include Argentina, Bangladesh, Barbados, Brazil, Chad, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Turkey.
Jalandhar (Punjab), May 13 (ANI): The 3-day Mother Mariamma Mela concluded in Punjab's Jalandhar. The event was organised by the South Indian Welfare Society at Qaji Mandi. During the fair, devotees walked barefoot over bed of hot embers. The burning coals were spread in a pit which was 30-feet long and 3-feet wide. This fair is being celebrated by Tamil community since several years.

The entire city on Monday observed a complete shutdown over Bandipora rape case, where a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped May 09 in the Sumbal area of Bandipora district. Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh), May 13 (ANI): Around six people lost their lives and three severely got injured after a tractor trolley overturned in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad today. This incident took place at Dilari area of Moradabad. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital for medical treatment. Total three women, two children and one man died in this severe accident. Around 30-32 people were travelling on the tractor trolley and were returning to Bhajalpur village after attending a birthday party at Nakhoonka village when the incident occurred.
Churu (Rajasthan), May 13 (ANI): After being ill-treated by her in-laws, a woman in Rajasthan's Churu reached at a police station in a naked state to file her complaint. While speaking to ANI on this matter, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Sujangarh Sitaram Mahich said, "Woman from Churu was beaten up by her in-laws and they even tore her clothes, she came to police station in naked state. She is under police protection and First Information Report (FIR) has been registered. While on her way to station some people clicked her pictures, matter being probed."

Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir), May 13 (ANI): The newly elected women panches took part in three days capacity building and training programme in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua on Sunday. They have participated in this programme with enthusiasm to play key role in the rural development. Around 229 panches took part in this programme. Panches will make the block development plans and also execute it on ground level. There are 251 Panchayats and 1951 panches in the Kathua district. They want to take part in panchayat and villages development and also want to minimise the grievances of common man in all aspect. Women panches are interested to get full training in the training program which is going on for the newly elected panches of Kathua district.
Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), May 13 (ANI): A 30-member all women anti-Naxal commando unit called 'Danteshwari Ladake' has been deployed in Naxal-affected areas of Bastar and Dantewada. The unit includes 10 surrendered women Naxals. These women practice strict physical training and weapon training. Speaking to media, Bastar Inspector General, Vivekananda Sinha said, "Women police commandos are at par with their men counterparts. I am confident they will they do a good job. It is a unique example of women empowerment." >
New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): 'Game of Thrones' actor Sophie Turner congratulated Jodie Comer for winning Bafta for best actress for her role in 'Killing Eve'. Sophie took to her Twitter handle to wish Jodie. The hit show took two other trophies, for best drama series and for supporting actress. 'Killing Eve' and 'A Very English Scandal' had the most nominations with 14 and 12, respectively, across both TV and TV Craft Awards. Earlier, 'Killing Eve' was commissioned out of the US by BBC America. However, the American drama was given a special exemption to qualify across all major categories in the Bafta awards. After seven nominations, Benedict Cumberbatch claimed his first Bafta for best leading actor in the male category. The night was hosted by five-time Bafta winner Graham Norton. Basirhat (West Bengal), May 13 (ANI): Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Babul Supriyo alleged that vehicles of his security personnel were attacked with stones by the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) supporters near West Bengal's Basirhat on Sunday. Supriyo had gone for a rally of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Sayantan Basu and the incident took place while he was returning. The perpetrators of the attack have been taken to a detention place near Basirhat. Supriyo is safe as his security personnel rescued him from the attackers. The state leadership of BJP has filed a written complaint along with the video footage as proof with the Election Commission of India (ECI). BJP has also demanded the removal of the head of the police of the district. Babul Supriyo is candidate of BJP from Asansol.
Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh), May 13 (ANI): An FIR was registered against BJP MLA Dinanath Bhaskar for allegedly thrashing the presiding officer of booth no.359 in Aurai Assembly constituency under Bhadohi Lok Sabha constituency. Bhadohi went to polls in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha election held on Sunday. "MLA and three others thrashed him alleging voting being held at a slow pace. An FIR has been registered and action is being taken," Police told ANI. BJP has fielded Ramesh Bind from this seat while the SP-BSP alliance has fielded Rangnath Mishra. Ramakant Yadav is contesting from the seat on Congress ticket. The counting of votes will be done on May 23. >
Nahan (Himachal Pradesh), May 13 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah addressed a public rally in Nahan, Himachal Pradesh. He slammed Congress government for not sanctioning One Rank One Pension (OROP) during their reign. He said, "For 55 years, for 4 generations of Gandhi-Nehru family did not sanction One Rank, One Pension (OROP). They gave a new meaning to One Rank One Pension - 'Only Rahul Only Priyanka'".
