Ballia (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 02 (ANI): BJP leader Vinod Tiwari was arrested on Monday for allegedly misbehaving with the district magistrate and trying to manhandle a revenue officer. "Over 12 criminal cases are registered against Tiwari. There is a case of financial irregularity, when he was the head of a village. We are investigating these cases," District Magistrate Bhawani Singh Khangarot told reporters. Tiwari was called by Khangarot to his residence in connection the cases pending against him and to be briefed about restrictions on him in view of the Model Code of Conduct. The district magistrate said Tiwari misbehaved with him after he was denied permission to sit on a chair since he was an accused. "He was not allowed to sit since he is an accused. He also tried to convince me that he is innocent. He has a criminal record of ten years. I do not know which party he belongs to," Khangarot said. "The police was informed and they arrested Tiwari. In a similar event, a Coimbatore-based miniature artist Raja has carved 18 election party symbols urging people to vote in upcoming elections. New Delhi, Apr 02 (ANI): Speaking to ANI, about Congress' NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) scheme, former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Arvind Panagariya said that no one has shared the details how the Congress party will arrange funds for implementing the NYAY scheme for India's poorest families. Panagariya said, "If you are giving Rs 72,000 per annum to 5 crore families then there will be an expense of Rs 3.6 lakh crore, this is 13% of the total budget of central government. No one has given details of scheme that how Rs 3.6 lakh crore will be arranged to implement it. It's more than our defence budget. Fiscal situation is always tight, it's almost impossible to take out 13% of the budget."

Barwani (MP), Apr 02 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh police seized large number of arms and ammunitions from the house of a local Sanjay Yadav in Barwani. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Barwani Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia said total 17 handmade bombs, 10 pistols and 111 ammunitions were recovered from Yadav's house. Bhutia further added that Yadav is on the run and search operation is on for him.
Jammu, Apr 02 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir police arrested accused Owais Ameen within 36 hours of blast that occurred in a car near a CRPF convoy in Banihal, Ramban, on March 30. According to Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh addressed media persons and gave information about the incident. He said, "The accused Owais Ameen has been arrested within 36 hrs of the incident. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. He is a resident of Shopian. On 30th March at about 10:15 am, a Santro car loaded with explosives hit a CRPF bus in Banihal while the convoy was moving from Srinagar to Jammu, as a result the bus suffered minor damage and the CRPF personnel travelling in the said bus had a narrow escape." The DGP further added, "As per our investigation till now he belongs to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen".

The result of the research were presented at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Spring 2019 National Meeting and Exposition. A team identified bacteria with promising antibiotic activity against known pathogens, even dangerous organisms, such as the microbe that causes MRSA infections, in the protective mucus that coats young fish. "For us, any microbe in the marine environment that could provide a new compound is worth exploring," said Sandra Loesgen, the group's principal investigator. By performing his duty during heavy rain and showing the vehicles the right path, traffic constable Mithun Das won hearts of the people and commuters and his act went viral on the social media. Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 01: A 5-year-old girl, a Border Security Force (BSF) inspector were killed and several civilians sustained injuries as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch today. Total five security personnel got injured of which one Border Security Force (BSF) inspector succumbed to his injuries. The injured have been admitted to the nearby hospital. Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by firing mortar shells and small arms in Mankote and Krishna Ghati sectors of Poonch district. Further details are awaited in this incident.
