Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 03 (ANI): Speaking on case against Popular Front of India (PFI), Additional Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Home Department, Avnish Awasthi said that 108 PFI members have been arrested in the last 4 days and strict action is taken against them. "108 people (PFI members) have been arrested in the last 4 days, these are in addition to the 25 who were arrested earlier. The action is taken very strictly. More information is being gathered about this organization. We are even gathering the information of their financial transactions. Locals, Forest Dept officials rescue trapped elephant calf in Assam's Morigaon

Morigaon (Assam), Feb 03 (ANI): Locals and Forest Department officials rescued an elephant calf in Assam's Morigaon that was trapped between huge rock boulders. The incident took place at Sonakuchi hills area near Jagiroad in central Assam. According to reports, some local villagers noticed that an elephant calf was trapped between huge rocks while its mother was roaming in the area. They immediately informed the Forest Department about the incident and they immediately took the action to rescue the calf. However, the mother of the calf chased the locals and the forest department personnel when they tried to rescue the calf. One of the villagers was also injured after he fell into ditch when mother of the elephant calf chased him.

Equity indices in green early trading

Mumbai (Maharashtra), Feb 03 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices were in the green during early hours on Monday after they witnessed a sharp downswing on February 01, the day government tabled Union Budget 2020. It is seemed that budget proposals failed to impress investors. At the National Stock Exchange, most sectoral indices were in the green. Nifty Bank moved up by 0.42 per cent, auto by 0.74 per cent, IT by 0.35 per cent and metal by 0.44 per cent. However, Nifty FMCG was down by 0.20 per cent.
