Mumbai, July 27 (ANI): Vice President of India attended an event in Mumbai on Saturday where he addressed the attendees. Naidu said, "We call 'Mother India', we don't call 'Father India.' That's the importance given to women. They are 50% of the population. Women should get reservation in Parliament too and after giving reservation, give them funds, functions and functionaries."

Onboard, July 27 (ANI): Mahalaxmi Express held up between Badlapur and Vangani due to heavy rainfall on Saturday morning. Around 700 passengers stuck in the train. Railway Protection Force and police have reached the site where the train is held up. A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) arrived at the location as well. Naval helicopter also came for patrolling.

Shopian (J-K), July 27 (ANI): Two terrorists were neutralised after exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian today. The incident took place at Bona Bazaar area. Weapons and war like stores were recovered from the spot. The top most Jaish commander of South Kashmir Munna Lahori (Bihari) from Pakistan was killed along with his local associate after a night long operation of Shopian. Haridwar (Uttarakhand), July 27 (ANI): An intoxicated 'Kanwariya' climbed atop cable bridge in Uttarakhand's Haridwar. A Sub-Inspector in City Patrol Unit of Uttarakhand Police, Amit Kumar Chauhan saved him. Chauhan didn't wait for the rescue team to arrive and rescued that person himself. While speaking to ANI on the incident, Chauhan said, "The man was intoxicated, had he fallen he would have died. Without waiting for the rescue team to arrive I myself rescued him."

New Delhi, July 27 (ANI): While addressing at a book launch on 'India's Relations with International Monetary Fund,' in the national capital on Friday, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das said, "Solutions are turning difficult to come by as global economy seems to be moving into new and unsettling phase in environment of stressed trade negotiations, rising geopolitical confrontation and limited policy space and high debt levels in several economies". "General government debt of advanced economies as a group has surpassed 100 per cent of Gross domestic product (GDP). Fiscal space is also constrained in many of the advanced economies," he added. "It is important, in the backdrop of slowing global growth, that policies of monetary and fiscal authorities are well-calibrated so they support growth without further build-up of leverage and asset price bubbles. Prudent policies are critical to growth with macroeconomic stability," Das further stated.

Moradabad (UP), July 27 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad police have recovered 698 antique silver coins weighing 7.9 kilograms. The recovery has been made from an individual, named, Ghulam Nabi who works as a labourer. The coins have some Arabic inscription over them and the exact period that they belong to couldn't be ascertained. Speaking to ANI, on this issue, Circle Officer Lallan Singh said, "Ghulam Nabi had gone to Shimla for working as a labourer. While digging a road they got hold of these coins. A fight erupted between labors regarding the division of the coins. After this, we got to learn about the incident and sent a police team. The coins were confiscated and will be deposited in the treasury."
