Jorhat (Assam), July 24 (ANI): Under operation 'Sadbhavana', the Indian Army organised a medical camp in the flood affected areas of Assam's Jorhat district on Tuesday. The free medical camp was organised in Neul Gaon village of Jorhat district. Several villagers in Jorhat are badly affected by flood. Maximum people have been shifted to relief camps till now. People came up in large numbers for getting their medical examination done by the Army personnel.
Angul (Odisha), Jul 24 (ANI): One person died while several are feared trapped in a landslide at a coal mine in Odisha's Angul. The incident took place at around 10:30 pm yesterday. Nine injured have been admitted to a hospital. Rescue operation is underway.
Karimganj (Assam), July 24 (ANI): Two died after two mini buses collided in Assam's Karimganj district today. Several people got injured in the incident. Injured have been admitted in a hospital for medical treatment. More details are awaited.
Udhampur (JandK), July 24 (ANI): In an attempt to provide a platform and explore the singing talent of young boys and girls residing in Jammu and Kashmir police organised a talent hunt 'Choona Hai Aasman' in Udhampur district on Tuesday. Hundreds of participants gathered in Udhampur to showcase their singing talent to the public. Dressed in colourful attires, participants managed to captivate the gathering. While some played instruments such as the harmonium, others charmed their audience with their soulful music. Speaking to ANI, a participant expressed gratitude to the police for hosting the programme and providing a platform for young talent in the state. New Delhi, Jul 24 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister revealed that his country had 40 different militants groups operating within its borders while addressing US Lawmakers at Capitol Hill. There were no militant Taliban in Pakistan and they have nothing to do with 9/11. Khan said, "They were fighting the US war on terror but unfortunately things went wrong because our government was not in control. While US expected us to do more and help them to win, Pakistan was fighting for its own existence". The ministry of External Affairs asked again and again for verifiable, credible and irreversible actions against terrorist operating from their soil. Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh), July 24 (ANI): A unique initiative has been taken over by the Municipal Corporation of Ambikapur city in Chhattisgarh. Ambikapur Municipal Corporation (AMC) will set up a 'Garbage Cafe' to provide food to citizens in exchange of plastic waste. This initiative will help in keeping the city clean. While speaking to ANI, Mayor of Ambikapur Ajay Tirkey said, "In Ambikapur, under the solid waste management which is coming from Municipal Corporation, we have started a model on the same which was very successful after getting support from locals and others. We will provide free food to those who bring 1 kg of plastic to us and it will help us in keeping the city clean."

They displayed various climbing techniques, rappelling and abseiling. They also showed their skill in evicting the casualty from high terrains. Kargil Battle School was opened to provide training to soldiers who are deployed in the heights along the Line of Control (LoC) in this region. Sirohi (Rajasthan), July 24 (ANI): Two French tourists got injured after their bike was hit by Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) bus. The incident took place in Rajasthan's Sirohi on Tuesday. Injured have been admitted to the hospital for medical treatment. While speaking to ANI, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sirohi Kalyan Mal Meena said, "The French tourists were going to Udaipur. They have received minor injuries and their medical treatment is underway."
Bongaigaon (Assam), July 24 (ANI): Several areas of Assam's Bongaigaon have been submerged following heavy rainfall in the city. The residents are facing various problems due to flood as it's badly hampering their day to day routine. Water levels have started receding in several districts of Assam. In Assam, the number of deaths has touched around 68 as two more people died in Morigaon and Golaghat districts since July 22. Railway tracks have also been submerged following heavy rainfall in the city. The water level is also receding in the Kaziranga National Park.

Mumbai, July 24 (ANI): Eight people sustained injuries after three cars collided with each other in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. The cars collided on Andheri Flyover due to low visibility following heavy rainfall in the area. The incessant rain caused waterlogging in several parts of the state capital. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation had tweeted IMD's weather forecast that heavy/intermittent rainfall is expected in the city and suburbs.
Kargil (J and K), July 24 (ANI): Preparations underway at Dras War Memorial to celebrate 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas. The 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas will be celebrated on July 26. The Dras War Memorial was built in 2014 by the Indian Army to commemorate sacrifice of the soldiers who fought Kargil War. The Kargil War was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan, which took place 18 years ago between May and July 1999.

Mumbai, Jul 24 (ANI): A man from Mumbai is working as the 'water saviour' for the city. Subhajit Mukherjee has installed 'Ground Water Chargers' in pits at schools in Mumbai to save rain water. Speaking to ANI, he said, "I've a target to cover at least 50 schools to recharge ground water with rain water harvesting. I've installed 'Rain Water Reserve Drums' in 33 schools till now". Subhajit has also planted plenty of trees in Mumbai and ran campaign for environment named 'Mission Green India'.
