New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Triple Talaq Bill, Congress MP K Suresh said, "Yesterday, night they put in Triple Talaq Bill in today's agenda and postponed National Medical Commission Bill and DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill without knowledge of Opposition. Why are they keeping it secret and putting in agenda at night? It is not correct for healthy Parliamentary system." He further said, "As far as Triple Talaq Bill is concerned, Criminality Clause maybe misused by police and government. So, we'll strongly oppose Criminality Clause. If the government sticks to that, we'll ask for division." Triple Talaq Bill will be tabled in Lok Sabha today. The new law provides for a three-year jail term for Muslim men who get an instant divorce by uttering 'Talaq' thrice.
Vellore (Tamil Nadu), July 25 (ANI): Nalini Sriharan, one of the convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, was released from prison on Thursday on a month-long parole. Nalini, a life convict, walked out of the Vellore Central Prison. She was granted the 30-day parole by the Madras High Court on July 5 to make arrangements for her daughter's wedding. The court had also directed Tamil Nadu Government to bear the expenses towards escort charges. Nalini had approached the High Court before a bench of Judges led by Justices Sunderesh and Nirmal Kumar to argue her case seeking six months of ordinary leave for the preparations. This is the first time that she came out on parole in 28 years of imprisonment. In 2016, she was granted a 12-hour parole to attend the funeral of her father. Charithra Sriharan, Nalini's daughter, was born in prison and is currently a medical practitioner in London. New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Karambir Singh addressed media personnel in Delhi on Thursday. On asking about China's Defence White Paper reiterating growing emphasis on PLA Navy, Singh said, "Lot of resources have been shifted from other arms to PLA Navy, obviously in-line with their intention to become a global power. We have to watch that carefully and see how we can respond within our budget and constraints." He further said, "We require long term fiscal support to build a Navy and that is the only way we can plan." Navy Chief Admiral KB Singh on the Rs 17,000 Crore deal with the US for 24 MH-60 multi-role helicopters said that in the multi-role helicopter project, the procedure for Letter of Request and Letter of Acceptance is on. We should be able to sign it by the end of this year.
Mumbai, July 25 (ANI): While addressing the media personnel in an event, Bollywood actor Swara Bhaskar spoke on mob lynching in India. She said, "I really appreciate it that the artists and writers are today aware of what is happening in India and are affected by it too. For past 3-4 years, I am trying to talk about mob lynching. Even, 1-2 years ago, I demanded 'Manav Suraksha Kanoon' as well, there was a law against mob lynching. But it is really sad that in last 3 years, the situation got worse. So, I think it is really commendable that writers and artists wrote that letter and I hope that government will pay attention towards it." She further said, "Mob lynching has become an epidemic in our society and I don't think so we can ignore it now. It is there in our society and we cannot deny it. So, I feel state government should also be accountable to it and obviously, Prime Minister is the highest authority in our country and I hope he'll pay attention to it. "
New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Karnataka BJP delegation comprising of Jagadish Shettar, Basavraj Bommai, Arvind Limbavali and others leaders reached Delhi on Thursday. The delegation will meet Home Minister Amit Shah and is expected to discuss the future course of action to form the government in Karnataka. While speaking to ANI, Arvind Limbavali, said, "We are here to take guidance of the central leadership, for formation of the new government what should be the strategy and action plan." Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh), July 25 (ANI): Residents of Damdam village in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district have to cross river, to go to their agriculture land, on a makeshift boat made of plastic barrels. Residents alleged, "Politicians ask for our votes, promise us a bridge but no one has done anything yet. It is dangerous during monsoon." While speaking to ANI, Manoj Pushp, Mandsaur District Collector said, "It has come to my notice. There's a road but that is a longer route. I've told the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zilla Panchayat to get the project completed if it has been sanctioned or get it sanctioned if it has not been done."

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has also sued Cambridge Analytica - the data firm accused of harvesting data on millions of Facebook users without consent, after announcing a record fine of USD 5 billion for the social networking giant. As Cnet reports, the FTC said that the firm is responsible for deceptive ads and practices to harvest personal information from Facebook users. The commission has also settled with the firm's former CEO Alexander Nix. App developer Aleksandr Kogan has also agreed to follow the orders and destroy all personal information.

Doda (Jammu and kashmir), July 25 (ANI): A joint operation team of the police and 26 Rashtriya Rifles arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head, on Wednesday. The team also recovered one AK, one magazine, a pouch and other edible items from him. The militant had previously been 'seriously injured' in an encounter with the armed forces on June 22 and had since been hiding in the forest area.

Hyundai and State Government have signed MoU expanding manufacturing of electric cars. KONA Is India's first fully electric SUV. KONA has a range of staggering over 300 km (fully charged) and it can clock 0-100 in less than 10 seconds.
