Renigunta (Andhra Pradesh), July 17 (ANI): A SpiceJet aircraft flying from Renigunta to Hyderabad was halted at Andhra Pradesh's Renigunta International Airport due to a technical snag today. The flight landed soon after take-off, when the pilot identified a technical snag in the aircraft, following which, the aircraft landed safely. Almost 40 passengers were onboard, when the technical snag was identified. The flight had originally travelled from Hyderabad to Tirupati International Airport. The flight was on its return journey, when the snag occurred.
Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), July 17 (ANI): A woman employee at a private hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior was allegedly thrashed by a male duty doctor after an argument broke out between them. The incident which was captured in hospital's CCTV camera has gone viral on social media. In the video, duty doctor Gaurav Sharma, and Geeta Dikshit who was attending the reception desk of the hospital got into verbal argument over an issue following which Dikshit left her desk. However, Sharma followed Dikshit and started beating her, after which people present at the hospital intervened and separated the two. Police is investigating the case.
Bengaluru, July 17 (ANI): In a major relief to the shaky Congress-JDS coalition, the Supreme Court on Wednesday said that the Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar cannot be forced to take a decision within a time frame on the resignations of the rebel MLAs. While speaking to ANI, Congress leader DK Shivakumar said, "This landmark judgment has given strength to democratic process. Some BJP friends are trying to misguide that whip is not valid but the party can issue a whip and take necessary action as per anti-defection law."

Mumbai, July 17 (ANI): Reacting to the arrest of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed in Lahore, special prosecutor in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, Ujjwal Nikam, called the latest step by Pakistan as "drama", and said the country is "fooling" the world with Saeed's arrest. "Pakistan is fooling the world that they have arrested him, we have to see how they produce evidence in courts and how efforts are made to convict him, otherwise it is a drama," Nikam told ANI. Earlier in the day, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police in Pakistan arrested Hafiz Saeed, who is the mastermind of the 26/11 attacks, and sent him to judicial custody.
Mumbai, July 17 (ANI): International Court of Justice is likely to deliver its verdict on Kulbhushan Jadhav today. Jadhav, an Indian national, has been sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on alleged charges of espionage and terrorism. While speaking on the issue, Kulbhushan Jadhav's friend said, "Hopes are running high as the case has been taken and it has been perceived. The way Harish Salve has debated the case in ICJ, we are very positive, today is the verdict day and the judgment will come in our favour."

Flight AI 903 took wings from the Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport with 150 passengers after a traditional inaugural function. All 15 MLAs are given the liberty that may or may not go to the House tomorrow." "The three-line whip issued against them (rebel MLAs) to attend the House tomorrow is not operative in view of the SC judgement. Secondly, the Speaker has been given time to decide on the resignations as and when he wants to decide," lawyer added.

New Delhi, July 17 (ANI): A woman and a man misbehaved and manhandled a traffic police cop in Delhi's Mayapuri area. Two wheeler driver Anil Pandey and pillion rider Madhuri misbehaved with the traffic cop on being stopped for not wearing a helmet. According to the police, the two were heavily drunk. They were later arrested after the case has been registered against them on complaint of the traffic police personnel.

"We are taught, given notebooks, textbooks, stationery and food. If someone falls ill, he is given medicines," a participating child said. Children who have been participating in the summer school have displayed enthusiasm about the initiative. "Not only us, our animals are also given medical help if they fall ill," said one of the children.
