Student of 7th Class brought laurels not only for her family but also for her state by winning the title. Ananya was the lone participant from the state and had a tough fight in the competition as she was unaware with Punjabi language.

Bengaluru, July 16 (ANI): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) detained Congress Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Roshan Baig for questioning at Bengaluru airport last night. SIT detained him for probing in terms of IMA case. Roshan Baig is MLA from Shivajinagar area. He was allegedly being ushered into the private chartered aircraft by BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa's PA NR Santosh, when the SIT nabbed him. He was trying to leave the city and was allegedly on his way to Mumbai when he was nabbed by SIT. Now, he is being questioned at CID Headquarters at Carlton House in Bengaluru.

Agartala (Tripura), July 16 (ANI): Police have arrested two Myanmar nationals for not having proper Indian documents in Tripura's Agartala. While speaking to ANI on this matter, Police Official said, "They are unable to tell how they came here but have IDs showing their Myanmar nationality." "Both the arrested persons will be produced before the court as they do not have documents to be in India," he added.

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): A fire broke out in a paper godown in Delhi's Alipur area. Twenty-two fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot and later brought the flames under control. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far in the incident. Cooling operation in the fire area is currently underway.
Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh), July 16 (ANI): A woman died during a clash with another woman over filling up water from a public tap in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam on Monday. This incident took place in Sompeta town of Srikakulam district. The deceased, identified as Tatipudi Padma (38) was a resident of Palli Veedhi area in Sompeta. Narrating the incident, Sompeta Sub Inspector (SI), K Venkatesh said that Padma had an argument with another woman named Teppala Sundaramma over standing in queue for fetching water from a public tap installed at a nearby school. After a few minutes, the brawl turned intense and both women started manhandling each other with the vessels they were carrying to fetch water. During the clash, Padma met with severe injuries on chest and head. Later, she slipped and fell down on the road and died on the spot. The software giant has announced that it is killing its popular internet games on older Windows versions. He said that there should be zero tolerance regarding killings. He said, "Regarding the killing (of smugglers across Bangladesh-India border), we request that we should follow the law of the land. New Delhi, Jul 16 (ANI): India and Australia on Monday finalised a veterinary health protocol for the export of Australian breeder sheep to India. Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu and Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry Tarun Shridhar exchanged the protocol at an event here. "Agriculture, including animal husbandry, is of critical importance to both the Indian and Australian economies. It is not only related to the wool or exports to India but also the entire manufacturing sector," Sidhu told ANI.
New Delhi, Jul 16 (ANI): A recent study has suggested ways, which can prevent and help in managing the risk of cardiac arrest in competitive athletics. The study has been published in the journal of 'Canadian Medical Association.' The sudden heart failure is something rare and, in young athletes, is usually the first sign of heart disease, although one study has found that 29 per cent of athletes had symptoms of underlying disease before an arrest. It is very difficult to predict or prevent, and screening programmes are challenging and of uncertain benefit. Therefore, physicians should routinely ask athletes if they feel dizzy, short of breath or experience chest pains during or after exercise and ask about family history to determine if there may be an inherited condition. Survival rates after sudden cardiac arrest in athletes are quite high when automated external defibrillators are used.
