Guwahati (Assam), Jul 13 (ANI): As the situation of flood is deteriorating in state of Assam, part of Brahmaputra river that flows through Guwahati is flowing above danger level. The flood has affected at least 17 discussed in the state. Famous Lord Vishnu temple, Chakreshwar, also indicates high water level in the river. The vertical river scale pillar bearing statue of Lord Vishnu in temple serves as an indicator of height of river during flood. Rainwater has reached near the feet of statue of Lord Vishnu near Chakreshwar Temple this monsoon. The visitors have been advised to not to go near the river.
New Delhi, July 13 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday visited at the rubber factory of Delhi's Jhilmil Industrial area, where 3 people died due to fire. He also expressed shock over the deaths. The incident took place in the early morning after which several fire engines rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), July 13 (ANI): One month after a man was allegedly murdered over Rs 1000 buried his body. His body was retrieved by the police and sent for the post-mortem examination on Friday. The deceased, identified as Bachnu, was allegedly murdered by the three villagers, on June 13. After receiving the post-mortem examination report, the body will be sent for the forensic examination.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Jul 13 (ANI): Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) former scientist Nambi Narayanan on Saturday shared his views on Chandrayaan-2 which is set to be launched on July 15. Showing his confidence on Chandrayaan-2 he said that the mission will be successful and it will safely land on Moon. Telling the basic difference between both the Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2, he said that Chandrayaan-2 is the continuation of Chandrayaan-1, and it's a prelude to future missions. The basic difference between Chandrayaan-1 and 2 is, previously ISRO had dropped a piece on the surface of the moon but in Chandrayaan-2 ISRO will try to soft land it. India's second mission to Moon, Chandrayaan-2, is set to be launched on July 15.
Nagpur (MH), July 13 (ANI): Farmers of Nagpur are facing worse situation due to water crisis in Maharashtra. Crops are turning into barren filed as there is no rain from last 15 days. Deputy Director of India Meteorological Department, Vidarbha M Sahu said, "Rain is not expected in next coming 5 days, as weather conditions are not favorable. Light rains expected only at 1- 2 locations. Rainfall rate is 28 % lesser than the normal rainfall rate." The situation is likely to worsen in the Marathwada and Vidarbha (Nagpur) regions, where storage levels have depleted to 5 and 10 per cent, respectively.
Jaipur (Rajasthan), July 13 (ANI): On the occasion of inauguration of Cooperatives' ATM and launch of online crop loan distribution by the Cooperative institutions at Rajasthan's Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that it is duty of the state government to serve the farmers. He underlined that with the sanction of fresh loans for the farmers, this year the state government targeted to distribute crop loans worth Rs. 16,000 crore. The chief minister said that the state government would let no stone unturned in taking steps towards welfare of the farmers. Chief Minister also said that with the historical step of online process, distribution of crop loans would become simpler and more transparent. Now, the farmers would be able to withdraw cash from their loan accounts using ATM cards or POS machines. The Aadhaar-based crop loan distribution would remove various discrepancies and ensure timely benefit to the farmers, he added.

Even with the scarcity of rain and low water levels in the river the shipwrights couldn't help but still hope to fetch good income during the monsoon season. There are at least 40-50 families that are into this business of boat making and have been passed on in the families through the generations, since the time of British-rule. They take the boats to sell in districts like Banda, Agra, Fatehpur, etc.

Panaji (Goa), July 13 (ANI): Three former Congress legislators in Goa were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers at an event at Raj Bhavan on Saturday. BJP leaders and Deputy Assembly Speaker Michael Lobo was also inducted into the Cabinet. Filipe Nery Rodrigues, Jennifer Monserratte, and Chandrakant Kavlekar, three out of the ten MLAs who joined BJP from Congress recently took oath. Former Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo also took oath.
Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), July 13(ANI): With a motive to promote Tamil, Coimbatore-based 82 year old Tamil scholar and poet Mariappan designs wall clocks with 3000-year-old ancient Tamil letters. This clock is designed not for commercial purpose, rather is given to people those who answer to certain questions on Tamil literature. Speaking about this Mariappan said that "The main focus is to save the Tamil language and literature in Indian soil, because Tamil language is getting diminished in India with this, I am designing these clock with ancient 3000-year-old Tamil letters, and will be gifted to people those who answer for questions relating to Tamil literature and history."

Rahane has always scored in England, Rishabh Pant made test 100s in England and Australia," said Jagdale. "We kept playing Shankar, Rayudu and Karthik. Both Rayudu and Kartik have been playing since '03 but couldn't establish. Shankar didn't have experience of playing in England. I had been speaking of Rahane since middle order looked weak. Selectors should have had better vision," he added.

While speaking on this issue Deepthika Putran said, "I have been selected for Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship that will be held in Canada in September. I need help to participate in the same. We have some financial problems since my father is a fishermen and mother is a housewife." She added "That is why I had tweeted to Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. He replied within hours assuring help. West Champaran (Bihar), July 13 (ANI): Heavy rainfall in Bihar's West Champaran district has sent normal life for a toss with several areas being water-logged from past few days. The water level in Gandak Barrage has also risen after heavy rain in West Champaran. Scores of commuters have been stranded at city's railway station owing to delay and non-movement of trains due to water-logging at the railway tracks. Besides, a cloakroom at the railway station is also flooded with water and the luggage of the passengers has got wet. "I am waiting for the train for the past two hours. Due to rain, trains are not coming on time. Even in the cloakroom, there is water everywhere. I do not know what to do know," a passenger told ANI. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the state with extremely heavy rain forecast for north Bihar districts along the Himalayan foothills in the next 48 hours.

Narnaul (Haryana), July 12 (ANI): Army Jawan Ravinder Singh was arrested in Haryana's Narnaul district on charges for leaking confidential information on national security. Police Official told ANI,"While chatting with a girl on Facebook, Ravinder Singh shared pictures of weapons used by Army. In return of this information the girl gave him some money". Haryana police has taken Ravinder Singh for two day custody. Further investigation is underway in she case .

Mumbai, July 13 (ANI): The Haj Committee of India organised a flagging-off ceremony for the pilgrims at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport today. The first batch of Haj pilgrims will leave for Mecca and Medina from Mumbai airport on July 14. For Haj 2019, Government of India has allocated a quota of 60,000 Haj seats to Haj Group Organisers (HGO's).
Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), July 13 (ANI): A 6-foot-long cobra rescued from an unused septic tank in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore today. The incident took place at Nanjundapuram Arm House of Coimbatore. The snake was rescued by snake charmer and later it was released back to its natural habitat.
