BJP youth leader accused of killing wife over dowry in UP's Barabanki

Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh), Jul 07 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth leader Rahul Singh has been accused of killing his wife over dowry issue in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki. Victim's father Ram Kumar Singh told ANI that the two got married on January 27 this year, and her daughter, who was a teacher at a medical college, was often pressurised by her in-laws who demanded a car from her. Singh claimed that her daughter was killed by his husband. Barabanki's Superintendent of Police (SP) Akash Tomar said prima facie the incident looks like a family feud, and police is collecting the evidences to investigate the matter.

Don't blame BJP for your own faults: Nalin Kohli's message to Congress

New Delhi, Jul 07 (ANI): After Congress blamed BJP for the resignations of 11 Congress-JD(S) MLAs resigned, BJP's national spokesperson Nalin Kohli advised the Congress to stop finding faults in other when the problems are in "your home". Rain lashes UP's capital, brings respite from scorching heat

14-ft-long king cobra spotted in Assam, rescued

Nagaon (Assam), July 07 (ANI): A 14-feet-long king cobra spotted at Jiajuri Tea Estate area of Assam's Nagaon district. The locals panicked after they spotted a huge poisonous snake. Villagers called a snake rescuer who captured the snake and later released it to the Suwang Reserve Forest nearby.

Patna: Junior doctors continue protest at PMCH demanding re-evaluation of exams

Patna (Bihar), Jul 07 (ANI): Health services took a hit at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) as junior doctors are on strike for last three days to demand re-evaluation of exam results, and the sacking of a senior doctor, Dr. Vijay Kumar, who has been accused by junior doctors of failing those who did not recommend names of a certain brand. "Dr Vijay Kumar should be transferred as he has failed in exam junior doctors who did not recommend names of medicines of a particular brand," said Dr Saurabh, one of the protesters.

Lucknow (UP), July 07 (ANI): In a fresh move, begging bowls of beggars will be replaced by job application in Lucknow. Lucknow Municipal Corporation started surveying of beggars. After collecting basic information, the beggars will be given work according to their qualifications. Due to financial constraints and conditions, the people engaged in the begging are themselves contacting the Municipal Corporation. Based on qualification of beggars, the Municipal Corporation has started the scheme to give them work.

Udhampur-based pageant runner-up has message for today's youth

Streets of Valsad water-logged following heavy rainfall

Congress party trying to throw out CM Kumaraswamy and family: Pralhad Joshi

Hubli (Karnataka), July 07 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Sunday, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on political situation in Karnataka said, "Congress party as a whole is trying to throw out HD Kumaraswamy. Missing anti-Sterlite activist detained in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Jul 07 (ANI): T Mugilan, a Tamil Nadu-based environmental activist who was missing for six months, was detained by Andhra Pradesh Police at a railway station in Tirupati.
