Bhopal (MP), July 03 (ANI): With temperatures soaring and heat waves being declared in various states in the past, monsoon has finally arrived in Bhopal. Rain brought respite from sweltering heat for the people of Bhopal. Whiles speaking to ANI, IMD, Scientist, Ajay Shukla said, "Monsoon has arrived in almost the entire Madhya Pradesh today except Gwalior and Chambal division. Prediction is that monsoon will cover the entire state within the next 2 days."
Baran (Rajasthan), July 03 (ANI): Over 300 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards were found near a drain in Rajasthan's Baran today. It is said that the cards were to be distributed among the farmers to promote digitalisation in the state of Rajasthan. More details are awaited. Investigation is underway.
Siliguri (West Bengal), July 03 (ANI): Local traders shut down their shops in WB's Siliguri for indefinite period. The shops of Ghogomali area were shut down. They are protesting of cut-money allegedly taken by Ranjan Shil Sharma, a Trinamool councillor of ward number 37. The traders were seen blocking roads by burning tyres and raising slogans.

Chandigarh (Punjab), July 03 (ANI): Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal has said Pakistan is creating obstacles one at a time with regards to the proposed Kartarpur corridor and urged the neighbouring country to take a "proactive stand" to remove these obstacles. Speaking to ANI, Badal said, "The work of Kartarpur corridor on the Indian side is going on as per the plan. The Indian government is monitoring project on a weekly basis. We are ready for our pilgrims to go to Pakistan by October 30. The problem is coming from Pakistan's side as they are not completing their part. The work on their side is very slow." "Pakistan is creating obstacles. They are ready to build a bridge instead of a crossway. They are now saying people can visit the holy place only in festivals they need visas and would need to pay fees," he added. The next meeting of India-Pakistan regarding the Kartarpur corridor is slated to be held on July 14.
Noida (UP), July 03 (ANI): A body of a 60-year-old woman was found inside her house in Noida's sector 31 on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Kuljeet Kaur. She was the wife of a retired Army officer. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
Budgam (J-K), July 03 (ANI): District Administration organised first-ever awareness program for women in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam. The program was to aware women about legal rights, legal protection, domestic violence and sexual harassment at workplaces. It was attended by female officers of different government departments, scores of employees, students and female participants from diverse fields. To conclude the program, sanitary napkin vending machines were distributed to the government schools.
Lucknow (UP), July 03 (ANI): In a unique concept to spread awareness among people to pay House Tax, Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) played 'dhols' in front of a defaulter's property. It was a first initiative, started by LMC in front of India Hotel in UP's Lucknow. Its purpose is to recover the outstanding amount at the earliest from the defaulters. Lucknow Municipal Corporation hopes that after starting this new campaign, the defaulters will show interest in filling house tax at the earliest.
New Delhi, Jul 03 (ANI): Often used as an alternative to traditional smoking, e-cigarettes (EC) come with their own health risks. E-cigarettes produce a stress response in neural stem cells, which are critical cells in the brain, finds a study. The study published in the journal 'iScience' used cultured mouse neural stem cells and identified the mechanism underlying EC-induced stem cell toxicity as 'stress-induced mitochondrial hyperfusion,' or SIMH. "SIMH is a protective and survival response. Our data show that exposure of stem cells to e-liquids, aerosols, or nicotine produces a response that leads to SIMH," said Prue Talbot, lead researcher of the study.Talbot stressed that youth and pregnant women need to pay especially close attention to their results. "Their brains are in a critical developmental stage," said Talbot.

New Delhi, Jul 03 (ANI): A clash broke out between two groups over the issue of parking and a temple was vandalised in Delhi's Chwari Bazar area on Sunday late evening. MS Randhawa, DCP, Central Delhi after 'Aman Committe meeting' said, "It has been decided that everybody will live peacefully. Markets will open tomorrow, we have taken action against the culprits. Three FIRs have been registered." Earlier today, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan visited Hauz Qazi area today where the clash broke out. Security has been tightened in the area. Three people have been arrested over the matter.

New Delhi, July 02 (ANI): While speaking in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi opposed move to privatise Raebareli coach factory. She said that government was seeking to surreptitiously privatise the modern coach factory in Raebareli, adding that it has caused uncertainty among employees and their families. She further added, "Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had termed Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) as 'temples of modern India'. It hurts to see that most of such temples are in danger today. Despite profits, their employees are not getting salary on time and they have been put in trouble to benefit some industrialists."
Mumbai, July 02 (ANI): In the past 48 hours Mumbai has witnessed an unprecedented downpour. According to officials, this year Mumbai rain broke 10 years record in several areas. They also defined it as nature fury and cloudburst. Central Public Relation Officer of Central Railways Sunil Udasi told ANI, "Kurla-Thane belt saw unprecedented rain of 183 mm within 3 hours which caused some water logging. Railway Protection Force (RPF) and commercial staff were up all night in order to provide their service and conducted rescue operations."

PoK, 02 July, 2019:- Hundreds of secretariat workers in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir are staging protests against the discriminatory financial policies of Pakistan that have saturated their salary amounts. They raised slogans against Islamabad and asked to immediately step into the mounting crisis that has left their homes strapped of cash at a time when people are already enduring the blow of the inflation. Protesters demanded that they should be treated at par with the employees in other parts of the country. Their demands include general incentives and other attendance allowance which the employees of each organisation receive across Pakistan. The protesters who have also expressed their anger in the past said they are determined and won't withdraw their demands until the justice is meted to them.
