Lockdown 3.0: 33% offices even outside containment zones will remain closed, informs NMC

Nagpur (Maharashtra), May 04 (ANI): As coronavirus lockdown 3.0 begins from May 04, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe informed that 33% offices will remain closed even outside containment zones. "Lockdown has been extended in Nagpur city till May 17. 33% of offices will remain closed even outside containment zones. However, all the essential services will be functional," said Mundhe after partial relaxation provided from May 04.

Handwara encounter: Indian armed forces carrying out relentless fights against terrorists, says Praful Bakshi

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): A day after five security personnel including Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, who were killed in the exchange of fire with terrorist in Handwara on May 03, Indian Air Force Wing Commander (retd) Praful Bakshi expressed his grief over gruesome attack on the security personnel. 14 migrants tested corona positive after returning to Chhattisgarh: State's Health Minister

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), May 04 (ANI): Health Minister of Chhattisgarh, TS Singh Deo, on May 03 informed that out of all the migrant workers who have returned from different states, 14 have so far tested positive in Chhattisgarh. The migrant workers who have tested positive are form Kabirdham district and Durg district. He said, "Out of all the migrant workers who have returned from different states, 14 have tested positive - 6 from Kabirdham district, 8 from Durg district." Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Chhattisgarh stands at 43.

Flypasts to showering flowers, this is how IAF honoured corona warriors

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): The activities were conducted in honour of COVID-19 warriors including doctors, sanitation workers, media and policemen, who continue to serve the country amid COVID-19 crisis. Indian Armed Forces on May 3 expressed gratitude towards medical professionals and all other frontline COVID-19 warriors. Armed forces conducted several events like flypasts by fighter jets over state capitals, aerial flower showers and performances by military bands outside hospitals. The gesture of special gratitude was announced on May 1 by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and the three service chiefs. Indian Air Force organised flypasts by fighter and transport aircraft from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram, and another one starting from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kutch in Gujarat. Special train carrying over 1000 Bihar migrant workers departs from Kozhikode

Kozhikode (Kerala), May 04 (ANI): A special train carrying around 1090 migrant workers left from Kozhikode for Bihar on May 03 amid coronavirus lockdown. Steam ends Mac support for SteamVR

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Video game digital distribution service Steam has announced that it will no longer support SteamVR on macOS. The company first introduced, SteamVR for Apple computers, in the 2017's Worldwide Developers Conference. Steam has now ended the support which lasted for about three years. The move was announced in a short post on SteamVR's news page, laid out in a single sentence: "SteamVR has ended macOS support so our team can focus on Windows and Linux." Mac users will still have some access to the feature, however, via legacy builds. One door closes, another will surely open.

All e-passes issued by Delhi Police to remain valid till May 17: MS Randhawa

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): The Arvind Kejriwal-led government on May 03 announced that it will be implementing all lockdown relaxations proposed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) from May 03 in Delhi. RWA in Delhi colony becomes 'stick of support' for lonely senior citizens

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): While the national capital is under lockdown to contain the spread of deadly COVID-19, the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) in South Delhi 's Navjiwan Vihar has geared up to take care of the senior citizens, who are living alone, by providing basic essentials to them. "We are getting services like newspapers, vegetables and other essentials at the doorstep. Shops are also open without any hassle. Grocery shops are also open inside the locality. Medicine needs are told to the secretary and she gives us allopathic as well as homoeopathic medicines," Krishan Bhatia, a senior citizen living in South Delhi's Navjiwan Vihar, told ANI. Watch: Awareness rally on COVID-19 flouts social distancing norms in Howrah

Handwara encounter: 'My son will join Army like his chachu', says late Col Ashutosh Sharma's Brother

Jaipur (Rajasthan), May 03 (ANI): Brave family of Colonel Ashutosh Sharma mourned his death. Colonel Sharma, who was the commanding officer of the 21 Rashtriya Rifles unit, lost his life in operation in Handwara on May 2. He had been twice awarded gallantry medals for exemplary bravery in counter-terrorist missions. Army persons, who lost their lives in the Handwara encounter included Major Anuj Sood, Naik Rajesh and Lance Naik Dinesh and a Jammu and Kashmir police official. Two terrorists were also killed in the operation by the security forces in the remote location of Handwara.
