Workers stranded in other states can use ration card to avail benefits there: CM Yogi

Lucknow (UP), May 01 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that migrant workers stranded in another state amid COVID-19 lockdown can use ration card to avail its benefits there. "Any worker or labourer of Uttar Pradesh who is stranded in another state due to lockdown, can use his/her ration card number and avail its benefits there. Those who do not have a ration card, then under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), food packets are being provided," said Adityanath.

1094 people cured from COVID-19 in Delhi: Health Minister

New Delhi, May 01 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in the national capital on may 01 amid coronavirus pandemic, the Health Minister of Delhi, Satyendar Jain said, "There are total 3515 positive cases of coronavirus in Delhi so far. Till now, 1094 have been cured and recovered from COVID-19 pandemic."

COVID-19 lockdown: Special train ferries migrant workers from Hyderabad to Jharkhand

Lingampally (Telangana), May 01 (ANI): In an ongoing coronavirus lockdown, a one-off special train ferried migrant workers from Lingampalli in Hyderabad to Hatia in Jharkhand. Train service for stranded migrant workers was started on the request of Telangana Government and as per the directions of Union Railway Ministry. All necessary precautions such as prior screening of passengers, maintaining social distancing at station and in the train were followed. Earlier, Jharkhand government has also demanded special train so that migrant workers could be brought back.

COVID-19 lockdown: Fishermen stranded in Gujarat reach Andhra border in buses

Krishna District (Andhra Pradesh)/ Nagpur (Maharashtra), May 01 (ANI): More than 800 fishermen who were stranded in Gujarat have reached at Andhra border in several buses on May 01. They were stuck in Gujarat due to coronavirus lockdown. The government officials have welcomed them at Andhra border. On the other side, migrant workers from various states were seen walking on roads in Maharashtra's Nagpur today. They were going along with their family members to reach at their hometowns.

Mandatory to download Aarogya Setu app for people crossing border: Gurugram DLF ACP

Gurugram (Haryana), May 01 (ANI): Amid coronavirus lockdown, Police personnel are deployed at Delhi-Gurugram border on May 01. While informing with the latest updates and exemptions for crossing the border, Gurugram DLF ACP Karan Goyal told ANI that it's mandatory for those who are crossing Delhi-Gurugram border need to download Aarogya Setu app. "There are points where we have been told to restrict movement, media not covered in those. For those working in hospitals and living in Gurugram, arrangements for them have to be made in Delhi. Restrictions apply to Police too," he added. "Those who cross the border need to download Aarogya Setu app mandatorily, their thermal scanning will also be done, and arrangement of Rapid Testing is also being done. 24 hours videography will also be done at this check post," said Goyal after Delhi-Gurugram border sealed.

North 24 Parganas (WB), May 01 (ANI): Workers of Fire Service Department conducted disinfection drive at Barrackpore Police Commissionerate area in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district.
