COVID-19: Delhi Langar Seva Society providing food to needy

New Delhi, Apr 26 (ANI): Delhi Langar Seva Society is providing food to the migrant workers, daily wage earners and marginalised people of the society in the national capital. The Society, in collaboration with Kitchen Art Company of JPS catering in South Delhi, is feeding at least 8000 people in a day by providing lunch and dinner to the poor. Volunteers of JPS catering kitchen in Jonapur village of South Delhi has been tasked to collect the food and distribute it among poor and needy at various locations of Delhi.

Satyendar Jain confirms 2625 cases, 54 deaths in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 26(ANI): Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain confirmed 2625 cases in the national capital. Of 2625cases, he said that 111 cases were added on April 25. "869 people have recovered and 54 have died so far," Satyendar Jain informed. "Jagjivan Ram Hospital is near Jahangirpuri, a lot of our staff comes from there and the area has reported multiple COVID-19 cases therefore, some of our staff have also tested positive," said Delhi Health Minister.

2 automatic RNA extraction machines ordered from Singapore for Bihar: Health Principal Secy

Patna (Bihar), Apr 26 (ANI): Bihar's Principal Secretary of Health Sanjay Kumar talked about availability of automatic RNA extraction machines in the state. He said that for now, the RNA extraction is being done manually. He also informed that the State Government has ordered two automatic RNA extraction machines, one for RMRI and the other for IGMS. "They have been ordered from Singapore, we expect them to be here by month-end or the 1st week of May", said Sanjay Kumar. Till now, 243 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from Bihar with 2 deaths.

No move to reduce retirement age of govt employees: MoS Jitendra Singh

New Delhi, APR 26 (ANI): Minister of State for Prime Minister Office, Jitendra Singh clarified that central government is not reducing the age of government employees. While talking to ANI, Jitendra Singh said, "There has been no such move at all at any level in government, nor was it ever contemplated. It has been reiterated time and again. I don't know how this motivated; mischief comes up again and again. There is no move to reduce the retirement age of govt employees."

Unidentified Pakistani national trying to enter Indian border through fencing shot dead: Attari DSP

Amritsar (Punjab), Apr 26 (ANI): An unidentified Pakistani national was shot dead at Pul Moran border outpost by BSF in Punjab's Amritsar. While talking about the incident, DSP Attari Gurpartap Singh Sahota said, "An unidentified Pakistani national was trying to enter Indian border through fencing. Border Security Force personnel first warned him, but he did not stop following which they shot him. Incident happened at Pul Moran Post, early morning today".

Standalone shops in residential areas will re-open: CM Kejriwal on MHA's relaxation

He said that these shops will include medical stores, grocery stores, fruits/vegetable shops and dairy. "Besides this, standalone shops in residential areas, neighbourhood shops will also open. Porsche driver punished for mask-less ride in Indore amid lockdown

Indore (MP), Apr 26(ANI): A youth in yellow Porsche car was caught by security guard in Indore violating extant lockdown guidelines. The security guard flagged down the car and asked the driver why he was out on the road amid the lockdown. The youth was seen without a mask amid the coronavirus pandemic. The youth alleged that security guard misbehaved with him even when he had curfew pass and license with him. Madhya Pradesh has 2096 active COVID-19 cases and 99 people have died in the state till now.

Lesser number of COVID-19 cases registered last week in Delhi: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, Apr 26(ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the last week was slightly better than the week before, for the people of Delhi. He said that there were lesser number of cases, fewer deaths and many people went home after making complete recovery. "In the 7th week since the beginning of corona pandemic, 850 cases were reported and in the 8th week, which was the last week, 622 cases were reported. 21 people died in 7th week and 9 people died last week. Watch: SpiceJet cargo plane arrives at Kolkata with medical supplies from China

Kolkata (WB), Apr 26(ANI): SpiceJet freighter carrying around 10 tons of COVID-19 related medical supplies arrived in Kolkata from Shanghai on April 25.
