Hyderabad, Aug 17 (ANI): The Telangana BJP State president, K Laxman on Friday said several TDP leaders and others would join the party on Sunday in the presence of BJP working president JP Nadda on August 18. While speaking to ANI, he said, "On August 18, BJP working president JP Nadda is coming to Hyderabad. As a part of it, BJP has organised a massive rally, Telugu Desam people not less than 20,000 including their cadre, leaders who are left out in Telugu Desam are joining BJP."
Hyderabad, Aug 17 (ANI): A 12-year-old prodigy in Hyderabad has developed a serving robot to assist him in teaching his engineering students as well as assist elders with household chores. While the 12-year-old Mohammed Hasan Ali himself an eighth standard student takes classes for Civil, Mechanical and Electronic engineering students. "I teach engineers about designing and drafting and for electronic engineering students I teach the embedded system, internet of things (IoT) and robotics. I have done more than hundreds of projects and while working on one of them, I got the idea to make a serving robot," Ali told ANI on Friday. It took the child genius merely 15 days to develop the robot, which can take voice commands, follow a line and be set on automatic mode. The young genius says that it is his motto to do something for his country.

New Delhi, Aug 17 (ANI): A recent study has revealed that our brain stem cell becomes less productive as we age because of the increased brain stiffness. The research also found different ways to reverse the aged and unhealthy brain cells with a healthier one. The study conducted at the University of Cambridge was published in the journal 'Nature'. As our bodies age, muscles, and joints can become stiff, making everyday movement more difficult. The study emphasizes the same for our brains, that age-related brain stiffening has a significant impact on the function of brain stem cells. A multi-disciplinary research team, based at the Wellcome-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (University of Cambridge), studied young and old rat brains to understand the impact of age-related brain stiffening on the function of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs). These cells are a type of brain stem cell important for maintaining normal brain function, and for the regeneration of myelin a fatty sheath

A report on iHelp BR notes that images added in the iOS 13 beta 7 show the date September 10, on the system home screen, indicating the date of the launch. Vijayawada (AP), Aug 17 (ANI): The search to locate the several head of a woman in Vijayawada's Eluru canal is underway by the state and national disaster management forces. A 24-year-old man had, on August 11, allegedly beheaded his wife and dumped it in the canal. While speaking to ANI, Vijayawada DCP said, "Investigation is on. Missing cellphone and weapon are being looked for. For the head, canal is being searched with the help of SDRF-NDRF and local fishermen."
Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand), Aug 17 (ANI): A 57-year-old man has died in Gunji area due to a cardiac arrest while he was on the pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. The deceased has been identified as Manohar Dubey, a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Dubey was a part of the 16th batch of the pilgrimage which was in Gunji when the incident took place. The body has been sent for post mortem and will be later handed over to the family of the deceased.

Shivpuri (MP), Aug 16 (ANI): The SDRF and district administration rescued people from flood-affected Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri on August 16. Incessant rain led to flood-like situation in parts of Madhya Pradesh. 117 people have been rescued till now in which 69 are men, 31 women and 17 children.

New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): iPhone users may finally be able to instruct Siri to play their favorite songs from Spotify, according to recent business development between Apple and the music streaming service. Apple and Spotify are in talks to finalise a plan that will allow iPhone users tell Siri to play songs, playlists, albums with voice commands, according to people familiar with the discussions, The Information reports. In March, Spotify had filed a complaint with European competition authorities against Apple for blocking it from working with Siri. It also argues that other Apple policies create an unfair advantage for its competing Apple Music service.

Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), Aug 16 (ANI): The wall of a resort belonging to Abdullah Azam Khan, son of Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament (MP) Azam Khan was demolished on August 16. It was demolished by District Administration of Uttar Pradesh's Rampur over illegal construction. The luxury resort in Rampur was facing trouble following allegations of land grabbing. The Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department had served a notice to him alleging that the luxury resort was built on land owned by the state government. Allegations of irregularities have also been raised by the district administration regarding the encroachment of government land in the resort.

Pokhran (Rajasthan), Aug 16 (ANI): To mark the first death anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to him on August 16. The event took place in Rajasthan's Pokhran. Nuclear Test was conducted in May 1998 in Pokhran when Vajpayee was the Prime Minister. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat was also present during the event. Several other Indian Army personnel were also present during the occasion. While speaking to ANI, Rajnath Singh said, "It is a coincidence that today I came for International Army Scout Masters Competition in Jaisalmer and today it is the first death anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. So, I felt I should pay tribute to him on the land of Pokhran only." "Till today, our nuclear policy is 'No First Use'. What happens in future depends on the circumstances," he added. Vajpayee died on August 16, 2018 at Delhi's AIIMS. He was decorated with the Bharat Ratna in 2014.
Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), Aug 16 (ANI): Indian Army took the pole position in the 5th 'International Army Scout Masters Competition'. The event took place in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer. It was the first time when the Indian Army took part in the competition. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present during closing ceremony. Teams from 8 countries, including India, Russia and China participated in the competition. The five stages of the competition were infiltration and ambush, scout specialist course, scout trail obstacle course, small arms firing, floatation and exfiltration.
