New Delhi, Aug 11 (ANI): Ahead of the 73rd Independence Day celebration, a unique bike rally was organised in the national capital on August 11. Bikers began their journey from Rajouri Garden area of Delhi. Over 200 super bikes led by a team including 20 women bikers participated in the rally. Several bike groups including The Harley Group participated in the rally.
Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Aug 11 (ANI): Police rescued 23 cattle in a raid in Maharashtra's Aurangabad on August 10. The raid was conducted in Shahgunj area of Aurangabad. The cattle were also held hostage in that similar area. While speaking to media on this case, police official said, "We had received information that some cattle were held hostage, 23 cattle were rescued by police. Case has been registered and further investigation is underway in the case."
Jind (Haryana), Aug 11 (ANI): A police inspector has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman and filming the incident in Haryana's Jind on August 10. While speaking to media, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Jind Pushpa Khatri said, "On August 09, we got a rape complaint by an inspector and a video was also shot which was used to sexually assault her several times. We have registered the case and arrested the accused. The medical examination of the woman is being done." The victim stated that she had a case registered in Gurugram which is why she got in touch with the inspector. The accused is on three-day police remand. An investigation is underway in the case.
Ranchi (Jharkhand), Aug 11 (ANI): The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das on the occasion of launch of Mukhya Mantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana (MMKAY) on Saturday said that State Government is committed to double to income of farmers by 2022 and in this connection the State Government has decided to provide a bonus of Rs 185 per quintal for paddy. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated MMKAY on Saturday.

Siliguri (WB), Aug 11 (ANI): In a bid to make environment plastic-free and create awareness regarding its disposal, alumni of a school here through a unique initiative have started distributing food free of cost to the people who deposit 500 grams of plastic waste. The endeavour is cutting ice through the poor people and commoners as rag-pickers with plastic bottles and other plastic waste stacked inside the gunny bags, can be seen queuing up at the food distribution centre. The initiative is of the alumni of Goethals Memorial School and Nishkam Khalsa Sewa.The collected plastic will be sent for recycling and other use. "We have started this initiative. There is a tremendous response from the people," said SP Singh Saluja, president, Goethals Memorial School Alumni.

New Delhi, Aug 11 (ANI): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that reports were coming of violence and people dying in Jammu and Kashmir and called upon Prime Minister to transparently tell the country about the situation and assuage people. While speaking to mediapersons, he said, "I was called by the Working Committee just now because between the works that they were doing, to choose the next Congress president, some reports have come, that things in Jammu and Kashmir are going very wrong. There are reports of violence. There are reports of violence, so we stopped our deliberation and we had our presentation on what was going on in Jammu and Kashmir. It is important that the Prime Minister makes it clear what is happening in Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh."
Vadodara (Gujarat), Aug 10 (ANI): Vadodara's District Collector, Shalini Agarwal informed that the situation is normal right now and advised people to stay safe. District Collector, Shalini Agarwal said, "The situation is normal right now but there is forecast of rain today. We are continuously monitoring the level of Vishwamitri River. We only would like to tell people, don't pay attention to rumours and stay safe." Flood has affected several parts of the state. Several teams have been deployed in the area to rescue people. Several crocodiles have also been rescued during floods in the city.
Shivamogga (Karnataka), Aug 10 (ANI): At least 200 cattle were rescued from a flood-affected cow shelter in Karnataka's Shivamogga. The rescue operation was held by Kote Police station officials. Several parts of state are submerged after receiving heavy rainfall.
Kolhapur (Maharashtra), Aug 10 (ANI): National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team rescued several pregnant women from Kolhapur's Karnoor village on August 10. These women were taken to local hospital. Rescue operation is underway in several flood-affected parts of Maharashtra. Indian Navy teams will arrive in Kolhapur to accelerate rescue operation. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that a team of 100 doctors is being sent to Kolhapur.
Honnali (Karnataka), Aug 10 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, MP Renukcharya tried to row an Agarala boat (coracle) through flood-waters in Belimallur village of Karnataka's Honnali. Several locals were seen giving support to the boat. Several others were seen clicking selfie and taking pictures of the leader.
Morbi (Gujarat), Aug 10 (ANI): At least 8 persons died after a compound wall collapsed in Gujarat's Morbi. The incident took place near Umiya Circle, Kandla Bypass in Morbi. Further investigation is underway. More details are awaited.
Wayanad (Kerala), Aug 10 (ANI): Houses and streets of Wayanad have been submerged under water following heavy rainfall in the region. Several parts of Kerala are reeling in flood. "Situation here is worst than last years and people are being shifted to shelters," said a local. Rahul Gandhi will visit his Lok Sabha constituency to review flood situation. Rescue operations are underway by NDRF, Indian Army and Navy.

Various Pakistani media reports reveal that church clerics of Pakistan and the Chinese traffickers, who are working in liaison, are using the medium of marriage to send the innocent women across the border. Jammu, Aug 10 (ANI): A day after Section 144 was withdrawn from Jammu in wake of revocation of Article 370; locals started flocking the markets to get their daily essentials. Restrictions were eased in Jammu Municipal limits after security situation was found normal in the region. Several vendors and shopkeepers opened their shutters for the locals who started getting out of their houses. One of the shopkeepers told ANI that since the withdrawal of Section 144, people have started to come out, but it will take time for things to get normal.

Section 144 has already been withdrawn from Jammu Municipal limits after reviewing the security situation. Holding Tricolour in their hands, the Gurjar community today celebrated abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Patna (Bihar), Aug 10 (ANI): A person was thrashed by a mob on suspicion of being a child lifter on August 09 in Bihar's Patna. The victim died in hospital on August 10. Garima Malik, SSP Patna said, "Today an incident of mob lynching has been reported from Naubatpur. Police responded immediately and we have arrested 22 persons."
