New Delhi, May 05(ANI): Amid relaxation in lockdown 3.0, people formed long queues outside a liquor stores in national capital. Delhi Government on May 04 imposed a "Special Corona Fee" of 70% tax on Maximum Retail Price of the liquor. A man outside a liquor shop in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi said, "I am here since 6 am. Shop was supposed to open at 9 am but police arrived at 8:55 am...who will be responsible if something untoward happens here? We've no issue with 70% tax it's like a donation from us to country".
New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Director General Shekhar C Mande said that it is very difficult to compare the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir as of now. "Comparison between hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir is not right because we do not know the efficacy of both of them till now. Which one is better can only be ascertained after trials," said Dr Mande.
Panchkula (Haryana), May 05 (ANI): Last rites of late Major Anuj Sood was performed in Haryana's Panchkula on May 05. He lost his life in action during the Handwara encounter on May 02. Wrapped in tricolour, the fallen soldier's body was brought to his native place on May 05 by Indian armed forces. Major Sood was accorded with full state honour during his cremation ceremony.

"For the first time during the pandemic, a big relief package was announced under the 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana'. Earlier, those who use to rule, were extracting money from the welfare schemes of the poor during their tenure. Now this money is reaching directly into the accounts of the poor," said Adityanath.

Amid lockdown extension, people in large numbers thronged the liquor stores and stood in long queues waiting for their turn. The man said, "You are the economy of our country, government does not have any money".
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), May 05(ANI): Three women were allegedly thrashed after being tonsured by locals in Dakrama village of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, as they suspected them of being witches.The women were reportedly also made to consume faeces and were paraded half-naked by the locals. The incident came to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media. SDO, East Muzaffarpur Kundan Kumar said, "This is a crime. The police after a thorough investigation will take action against the accused."

Rampur (UP), May 05(ANI): The district administration of Rampur started a unique initiative of mobile medical stores on e-rickshaws to stop unnecessary public movement on roads after the district reported multiple COVID-19 cases and was converted into red zone and containment zone. These mobile medical stores go door-to-door to collect the documents of the prescribed drugs and get it delivered by the next day.
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), May 05 (ANI): Amid lockdown 3.0, a special train carrying 1208 migrant workers arrived at Muzaffarpur railway station on May 05 from Ahmedabad. The migrant workers were screened at the station and were also provided with food packets. Heavy police force was deployed at the station to avoid the chaos. Along with this, proper arrangements were made before the train's arrival.

The workers demanded to be sent back to their native places. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader R Ashoka along with Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao and others reached there to talk to migrant workers. Later the workers were shifted to BIEC.
West Godavari (Andhra Pradesh), May 05 (ANI): Despite special trains ferrying migrant labourers to their native places, many of them have been unhappy over delay in their travel. A clash erupted between protesting migrant workers and police in Andhra Pradesh's West Godavari after many came out on roads on May 04. The workers demanded to be sent back to their native places. Police lathi charged at a large group of migrant workers after the migrants allegedly pelted stones on them.
Hyderabad (Telangana), May 05 (ANI): Hyderabad Police on May 04 had a brief moment of law and order situation when around 1000 migrant workers started approaching Secunderabad railway station in a bid to return to their home states amid the coronavirus lockdown. The large crowd was, however, stopped in time by the police in Bahadurpur area from where buses were arranged to shift them to a function hall. "We have arranged vehicles to shift them to a function hall. We also arranged food for them. We have assured them that Telangana government will send them back to their home states in the coming two days. They listened to us and agreed to stay back," said Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad. Special trains are running across the country to ferry stranded migrant labourers, students and others to their home states.
