Nirbhaya will get justice tomorrow: Asha Devi after convict's curative petition rejected

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): Delhi rape victim Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi on March 19 said that her daughter will get justice tomorrow. "Court gave them so many opportunities that they have become habituated of bringing something ahead of hanging and get it postponed. Now, our Courts are aware of their tactics. Nirbhaya will get justice tomorrow," said Nirbhaya's mother after Supreme Court dismissed the curative petition of one of the convicts in the 2012 Delhi gang-rape and murder case.

No legal remedies left to postpone convicts' execution: Nirbhaya's Mother

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): Delhi rape victim Nirbhaya's Mother Asha Devi said that there are no legal remedies left to postpone the execution of the convicts. "Today is the last date and tomorrow they will be executed i have faith that they will be hanged tomorrow. Unless and until they get hanged they will try every tactics. There is no legal point left to postpone their execution," said Nirbhaya's Mother.

COVID-19 outbreak: East Coast Railway takes precautionary measures in train coaches

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Mar 19 (ANI): Amid growing cases of coronavirus in India, the East Coast Railway took precautionary measures in train coaches at Bhubaneswar Coaching Depot. They are disinfecting the train coaches on daily basis. The step has been taken to stop virus from spreading. Senior Coaching Depot Officer of Bhubaneswar Coaching Depot, Sakya Acharya said, "On an average, we are disinfecting and maintaining 210 coaches everyday." New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): Apple introduced the latest iteration of MacBook Air, promising improved performance and battery life. For the first time, the new MacBook Air is powered by the latest 10th-gen Intel Core processors up to 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8GHz for 2x performance while the Intel Iris Plus Graphics promises up to 80 per cent faster graphics performance. As the official release notes, the new MacBook Air comes with the new Magic Keyboard which was introduced on the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new model now starts with 256GB of internal storage and goes up to 2TB SSD. In a first, the new MacBook Air supports up to a 6K external display. Price starts at USD 999 for standard customers and USD 899 for students. It is available for preorder online and will be available starting next week in stores.

Bengaluru's ISKCON Temple closed due to COVID 19

Bengaluru, Mar 19 (ANI): The step may disappoint many of the devotees but due to pandemic coronavirus, the ISKCON Temple authority has decided to close the temple premises in Bengaluru. Almost 8000-10, 000 people visit the ISKCON temple on weekdays and 25, 000 on weekends. However, the daily 'aarti' will be continued at the temple. Coronavirus has a natural origin, says study

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): A new study suggests that the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that emerged from China's Wuhan city is a product of natural evolution. The study was published in the journal -- Nature Medicine. The analysis of public genome sequence data from SARS-CoV-2 and related viruses found no evidence that the virus was made in a laboratory or otherwise engineered."By comparing the available genome sequence data for known coronavirus strains, we can firmly determine that SARS-CoV-2 originated through natural processes," said the lead researcher Kristian Andersen. In addition to Andersen, authors on the paper, "The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2," include Robert F. Garry of Tulane University, Edward Holmes, of the University of Sydney, Andrew Rambaut of University of Edinburgh and W. Ian Lipkin of Columbia University. COVID-19 outbreak: Harsh Vardhan visits IGI Airport to take stock of preparedness

COVID-19: New date for JEE Main exams will be announced on March 31, informs MHRD

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has ordered the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and all educational institutions in the country to reschedule all the exams including JEE Mains in view of coronavirus outbreak. Speaking on the step, Secretary of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Amit Khare said, "The safety and security of children are important to us. We have decided that all examinations - CBSE, NIOS and University exams are rescheduled and postponed till March 31. Similarly, the evaluation work is postponed till March 31. New date for JEE Main exams will be announced on March 31, after assessing the situation."

Days after violence, Normalcy returns in Manipur's Kamjong

Kamjong (Manipur), Mar 19 (ANI): As normalcy returns in Chassad village in Kamjong district, the remnants of burnt houses and two wheelers that were set on fire were the first sight visible as one enters the village. "Around 100 houses may have been burnt, but factual report can be confirmed after the fact finding committee visits," said Deputy Commissioner Kengoo Zuringla. Smoke was still coming out from few of the burnt houses and there were women looking at the houses and weeping helplessly. Few women with kids were feeding their babies in the tents. Children were seen looking for things around the remains of the burnt houses.The violence broke out due to alleged inter-village land dispute.
