One-fourth of autism cases are not diagnosed in children

New Delhi, Jan 12 (ANI): A majority of children under the age of eight with autism-spectrum disorders predominantly Black and Hispanic are not given the required treatment. The study was published in the Autism Research journal.In 2014 researchers analysed the education and medical records of 266,000 children aged 8 to determine how many children had not clinically diagnosed or were given services that demonstrated the symptoms of the disorder.Of the nearly 4,500 children identified, 25 per cent were not diagnosed. Most were black or Hispanic males with deficits in mental abilities, social skills and activities of daily living who were not considered disabled.

Bagatsing Jr, who was part of the delegation that went to the valley on the two-day visit, said that the visit was informative and eye -opener and there was normalcy in Srinagar the way it was before August 05."It was very informative trip and eye opener for me. People were on the streets and shops were open. It appears that there was normalcy, the way Srinagar was before August 5," Bagatsing told ANI. The government had in August repealed Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Apple to replace faulty Smart Battery Cases for free

New Delhi, Jan 12 (ANI): Apple has started replacing some of its Smart Battery Cases after users reported charging issues. As Cnet reports, the affected cases, designed for the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR,were manufactured between January 2019 and October 2019. However, Apple notes that the program doesn't extend the warranty coverage. Apple or its authorized service providers will replace the eligible cases at no cost.

There's no dearth of crude oil in global market: Dharmendra Pradhan

Kolkata, Jan 12 (ANI): Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan said on January 11 that there is no dearth of crude oil in global market. "There's no dearth of crude oil in global market. We're taking it from OPEC, OPEC+, non-OPEC countries. Issue is - price. We're appealing to oil producing countries and responsible leaderships that there should be peace and stability in global economy," said the minister. "Due to geopolitical situation, conflict in Middle East there was a spike in price of crude oil. It's subdued in last 2 weeks. Let's wait and watch, let's not create panic. Things are under control. Government has kept a sharp eye on global development," he further added.

JNU incident occurred due to 'mistrust' between students and admin: Former JNU VC

New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): Former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) vice chancellor, Sudhir Kumar Sopory on Saturday said that the situation of violence that occurred in JNU is because of 'mistrust' and 'lack of communication' with the administration. He said, "I have had an experience of working at JNU for over 25 years. The recent incidents of violence at the campus are very disheartening. Such situations occur because of mistrust and it's the lack of communication that decreases trust level." "I think the administration should take the initiative to talk to students. When I was there, my doors were always open. I always had a diary of the demands of the students. For demands which could be fulfilled, measures were taken accordingly," he further added. Several students of the JNU, including JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh, were injured and were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre after a masked mob attacked them inside campus.
