Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 10 (ANI): Chief Minister of Bhopal, Kamal Nath inaugurated the musical water floating fountain in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal. The musical water floating fountain was opened at Upper Lake. It is considered to be country's largest musical water floating fountain. The first show featured the story of Mahatma Gandhi.
New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): A new research has revealed the existence of tendon stem cells that can potentially be harnessed to improve tendon healing and even to avoid surgery. The research was led by Carnegie's Chen-Ming Fan and published in the journal of Nature Cell Biology. Fan explained, "Tendons are the connective tissue that tethers our muscles to our bones, they improve our stability and facilitate the transfer of force that allows us to move. But they are also particularly susceptible to injury and damage."

"This Bill will adversely affect the culture, heritage and population structure of the North-East," he added.

Poonch (JandK), Dec 10 (ANI): Pakistan violated ceasefire in the Shahpur sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on December 09. Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and intense shelling with mortars along LoC. A statement said that at about 15:45, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation along LoC in Shahpur sector. One civilian was injured in ceasefire violation in Poonch. The injured civilian has been moved to a hospital for medical treatment. On Dec 2, Centre had informed Rajya Sabha that there have been 950 incidents of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir region from August to October.

New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): Trinamool Congress leader Saugata Roy on December 09 opposed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 on behalf of the party. He said the bill is divisive and unconstitutional, it violates article 14 of the Constitution. "This law is against everything our founding fathers including Dr. Ambedkar envisioned," said Roy. The left wing parties are opposing the Bill as it is "against" a specific community, according to them.
New Delhi, Dec 09 (ANI): National general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ram Madhav, hit back at Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee over Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Madhav said, "If Citizenship Amendment Bill is passed in two Houses of Parliament, it will become an Act of Constitution. As Chief Minister of a state, she (Mamata Banerjee) is duty-bound to implement every Act of Constitution. If she refuses to do so, Centre will decide what needs to be done."

"There should be no agitation against it but people are doing lot of politics, particularly Congress. They have no issues. In Manipur or anywhere else, there's no effect of the bill, but people are being instigated," he further added. He also said, "Already, we have been informed that there is a protection clause for the state of Manipur. The clause has been assured by Home Minister, so we need not worry. Bengaluru, Dec 09 (ANI): Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao on Monday (December 09) said he has resigned from the post of Karnataka Congress president, following the defeat of the party in state by-polls. "I am taking responsibility and resigning from the post of party's Karnataka state president," Rao told reporters in Bengaluru.
