Budgam (JandK), Dec 04 (ANI): The Computer History Museum setup by Army Goodwill High School Hanzik at Sharifabad area of Budgam district is helping Kashmiri students studying in the school. The students from various villages of Budgam district who are studying in the school will get benefitted from this computer museum. The computer museum has lab with live models of computers from different eras where students are being taught about the history of computers and their modifications. The students are also taught about the functioning of motherboard of computers, printers and other gadgets. Students also appreciated the step taken by the Army as it will help them to enhance their knowledge in computers.

New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Equity indices closed in the green on December 04 amid expectations of another interest rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and report that the United States and China are moving closer to a trade deal. The BSE SandP Sensex closed 175 points higher at 40,850 while the Nifty50 was up by 43 points at 12,037. Except for Nifty realty, all sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the positive terrain with Nifty PSU bank ticking up by 1.9 per cent. Among stocks, Tata Motors was star of the day after posting gains of 7 per cent at Rs 169.30 per share. Private lenders Yes Bank and ICICI Bank moved up by 5.8 per cent and 3.8 per cent respectively.
Prayagraj (UP), Dec 04 (ANI): Law student from UP, who levelled sexual harassment charges against former union minister Chinmayanand and was herself lodged in jail over extortion charges, has been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court on December 04. Speaking to ANI, her lawyer, Swetashwa Agarwal said, "We were brought to notice that the investigation in the case has been over. SIT has submitted its charge sheet. The client has already spent two and a half months in the jail and most of her offences were bailable."

New Delhi, 4 November (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik inaugurated 'Canteen Van' for CP reserve Staff at New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp. A mini bus was modified by Delhi Armed Police to serve the purpose. They are deployed in various law and order situations like riots, crowd management, religious gatherings, various festivals, and political rallies etc. The nature of duty of CP reserve staff is such that in situations of continuous and prolonged law and order problems, they need to put in prolonged hours of duty. Due to that, they are unable to take meals on time due to exigencies of duty. As a welfare measure, food articles, snacks, aerated water, soft drinks, etc will be carried by the Mobile Canteen Van to their places so that the staff is served with eatables while on duty.
Haridwar (Uttarakhand), Dec 04 (ANI): An unusual incident came to fore in one of the holy cities of the country. A female monkey adopted a newborn puppy in Haridwar. When a woman saw the monkey grabbing the little puppy, she informed the forest department about it. The forest officials came and rescued the puppy and also freed the monkey. But is it really a rescue or sheer case of love? This is the mystery that even forest officials are not able to solve. The woman who informed the forest department came forward and pledged to take care of the newborn puppy. The incident was reported in Haridwar's Gayatri Vihar Colony. According to Haridwar Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Akash Kumar Verma said that after getting the call, the forest department team reached the spot and rescued the puppy and also freed the monkey.
Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 04 (ANI): A husband and wife allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a building in Indirapuram area of Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. The couple also killed their two children. Another woman who jumped with the couple was rushed to hospital in critical condition. While addressing a press conference in Ghaziabad on December 04, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ghaziabad, Sudhir Kumar Singh said, "We have arrested Rakesh Verma. He is brother-in-law of Gulshan Vasudeva and is responsible for abetting Gulshan's suicide. Rakesh Verma took around Rs 1.5 crore from Gulshan to invest in real estate. Neither he handed over the property to Gulshan nor repaid him." "Gulshan was in deep financial distress as he had taken the money from his financiers on interest rate and given it to Rakesh Verma," SSP added. "Verma along with his mother Phoola Verma have already served a jail term under Section 420," he further stated.
Erode (Tamil Nadu), Dec 04 (ANI): A pregnant woman was carried in a cloth cradle for about 6 kilometers in Tamil Nadu's Erode on December 03. She was carried in a cloth cradle as ambulance couldn't reach her area due to lack of proper roads. The incident took place in Burgur village of Erode. Woman's husband along with other villagers trekked to reach ambulance. The pregnant woman delivered a baby boy on way to hospital. Both mother and child are under medical care and their health is stable.
