New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): BJP leader Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday said that Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal lied to public again in the name of 'free WiFi hotspots'. He said, "Delhi CM has again lied to public. He is a big liar. He said the same 4.5 years ago and saying it again just two months before elections. He is doing vote-bank politics because elections are approaching." CM Arvind Kejriwal on December 04 announced that 11,000 WiFi hotspots will be set up across the city.
New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Son of former finance minister P Chidambaram and Lok Sabha MP from Sivaganga, Karti Chidambaram said that P Chidambaram will attend Parliament session tomorrow (December 05). "I am very happy that he is going to be back in home, I am relieved," he further added. Supreme Court granted bail to former Finance Minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram in INX Media money laundering case. The case was registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Lok Sabha assured that India's security forces are doing their best and are protecting the borders. "I would like to assure the House that our forces are vigilant and protecting our borders. Our forces are fully capable of facing any challenge, nobody should have a doubt about it," said Defence Minister."There is no mutually agreed Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China. Due to different perceptions of the LAC, sometimes incidents of incursion occur, I accept it. Sometimes the Chinese Army enters here and sometimes our people go over there," he further added.
New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Union Minister of Environment, Forest, Climate Change; Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar on December 04 informed about the decisions taken in the Cabinet meeting which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. He informed that Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) has been cleared by the cabinet. Javadekar also informed that there are six major bills have been passed by the Cabinet.
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Dec 04 (ANI): At least six Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel were killed after a constable opened fire in Narayanpur camp of Chhattisgarh. The constable shot himself after killing fellow soldiers. Injured personnel were rushed to Raipur hospital.
New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on December 04 announced that 11,000 WiFi hotspots will be set up across the city. Among which, 4,000 WiFi hotspots will be set up at bus stops, 7,000 in markets etc. First 100 hotspots will be inaugurated on December 16. It will cost around Rs 100 crores. "Subsequently, every week 500 WiFi hotspots will be added, and within 6 months these 11,000 hotspots will be set up."
Mumbai, Dec 04 (ANI): Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf along with his wife Queen Silvia took part in cleanliness drive at Versova Beach in Mumbai on December 04. Swedish royal couple is on a five-day visit to India. This is the second visit of the couple to India after 1993 and the first-ever to Mumbai. Culprit Nazirudeen in confession revealed gory details of the crime while talking to media. Police arrested the man a week after a couple and their infant son was found murdered and two children seriously injured at their residence in Mubarakpur area.
New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Supreme Court granted bail to former Finance Minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram in INX Media money laundering case. The case was registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). "P Chidambaram should not temper with the evidence and not influence the witnesses. He should also not give press interviews or make public statements in connection with this case," said Supreme Court. SC also ordered Chidambaram not to travel abroad without the Court's permission.
Mangaluru (Karnataka), Dec 04 (ANI): Amidst onion crisis in the country, fresh loads of imported onions from Turkey reached in Mangaluru on December 04. To control the rising prices, the government is importing 11,000 tonnes from Turkey. Onion prices remain high across the major cities of the country.

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 04 (ANI): A farmer in Richha village of Mandsaur has alleged that his onion crop worth Rs 30,000 was uprooted and stolen from his field by thieves. Farmer Jitendra Kumar has registered a complaint with the police in this regard and said that onions were sown on 1.6 acre of land and as he was planning to harvest the crop, it was stolen by thieves. The Station House Officer visited the farm and has begun an investigation in the case. "He has filed a complaint that onion crop worth Rs 30,000 has been stolen. SHO has gone to his farm, further action will be taken as soon as we gather more details," Assistant Superintendent of Police said. At a time when prices of onions are shooting up to Rs 100 per kg, several cases of onion theft have been reported from various parts of the country. In Madhya Pradesh, a truck carrying onion worth Rs 20 lakh was stolen on its way from Nashik to Gorakhpur.

Pratapgarh (UP), Dec 04 (ANI): Bodies of two minor sisters were recovered from Sai River that falls under the limits of Sangipur police station in Pratapgarh district here on Tuesday, police said. According to the police, the two girls have been identified as Shivani (17) and Anjali (15). A large crowd gathered near the river on Tuesday morning when people spotted two bodies floating in the river. Police were informed, which rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. Police said that the girls had gone missing on Monday and that their family had been searching for them since they did not return from school. Further investigation is on in the matter.
New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah met several politicians and activists of Northeast states including the Chief Ministers of Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam to discuss the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Apart from the Chief Ministers of the three states, the activists of North-East Forum for Indigenous People (NEFIP), Manipur People Against Citizenship Amendment Bill (MANPAC), and members of the civil society were also present in the meeting at Assam Bhavan. NEFIP and MANPAC are opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, which provides for granting citizenship to non-Muslims in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who are facing persecution in their countries. Earlier today, North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma said that during the meeting the Home Minister hinted that the Bill could be introduced during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.
Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 04 (ANI): Police stations in Andhra Pradesh have been instructed to implement zero FIR rule, which provides for the registration of First Information Report (FIR) in cognizable offences even if the matter has not occurred their jurisdiction. Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang said, "At every police station irrespective of the jurisdiction as to where the offence has taken place, if there is any report of cognizable offence, instructions have been given that cases will be registered." He further said, "In case the FIR is not registered, the concerned officers would be liable and cases will be registered against them apart from departmental action, and not only the concerned officers but supervisory officers as well."
