The Prime Minister will also attend a public meeting at Dera Baba Nanak The inauguration of the ICP will facilitate Indian pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Kartapur Sahib in Pakistan. Meanwhile, security was beefed up at Gurdaspur's Dera Baba Nanak.

Internet suspended in Aligarh for 24 hours ahead of Ayodhya verdict on Nov 09: DM

Aligarh (UP), Nov 09 (ANI): Ahead of Supreme Court verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh said that internet services have been suspended for 24 hours starting 12 AM on November 09. "We have suspended internet services for 24 hours starting 12 AM on Nov 09. Further decision regarding this will be taken based on the situation. Security forces have been deployed. All schools, colleges and educational institutions remain closed for 3 days. Police forces will be deployed everywhere. One company of RAF (Rapid Action Force) is here, we have asked for one more company from the govt. All of us are on alert."

Neuroscientists discover circuit responsible for building memories during sleep

New Delhi, Nov 09 (ANI): A new study conducted by Neuroscientists has identified a mechanism that may help build memories during deep sleep. This study centred on the role of the nucleus reuniens, an area that connects two other brain structures involved in creating memories - the prefrontal cortex and the hippocampus -- and may coordinate their activity during slow-wave sleep. "Before this study, we did not know what was responsible for connecting the prefrontal cortex and the hippocampus," added Hauer, who researched under the supervision of Clay Dickson, a professor in the Department of Psychology and Silvia Pagliardini, associate professor in the Department of Physiology.

Youth Congress workers first gathered near the RBI office and tried to barge the police barricading. The police then used excessive force to stop the workers from entering into the RBI office. Arrangements put in place ahead of Kartarpur Corridor inauguration

Dera Baba Nanak (Punjab), Nov 08 (ANI): Security arrangements have been put in place a day ahead of the inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor on November 09. Police personnel have been put on alert and security has also been beefed up to stop any untoward activity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor linking the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab's Gurdaspur district with the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan on November 09, while Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will declare it open from the other end. The corridor aims to create a pilgrimage link between the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district and Pakistan's Darbar Sahib. India and Pakistan had signed an agreement to open the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for Indian pilgrims on October 24, ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
