New Delhi, Oct 11 (ANI): Ranbaxy's former promoters Malvinder Singh, Shivinder Singh and three others - Sunil Godhwani, Kavi Arora and Anil Saxena were arrested and later taken to Saket Court. Delhi High Court reserved its order on the maintainability of the plea filed by Ranbaxy's former promoters Malvinder Singh, seeking quashing of FIR registered by Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi police saying it lacks jurisdiction to register FIR. Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police detained Ranbaxy's former promoter Malvinder Singh from Ludhiana on October 10 after a complaint given by Religare Enterprises Limited. 4 others were also arrested in the case. Religare has accused them of diverting funds and misappropriation.

Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), Oct 11 (ANI): Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia hit at his own party's government of Madhya Pradesh over loan waving of farmers. He said, "The farm loan waiver of farmers has not been done in totality. Loan of only Rs 50,000 has been waived off even when we had said that loan upto Rs 2 Lakh will be waived off. Farm loan upto Rs 2 Lakh should be waived off."
Pune (Maharashtra), Oct 11 (ANI): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Pune said that although she interacted with automobile manufacturers, the consumer demand has not been revived yet. "I've been interacting with the automobile sector from all over the country, they have met me twice in Delhi. Consumer demand has not revived for the automobile sector, if the sector wants anything particular they can always talk to me," she said while talking to the media.
Buldhana (Maharashtra), Oct 11 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that BJP's stand is clear on Kashmir issue and they don't want any interference of any other country in that matter. He said, "Be it the US President or anyone else, PM Modi said in clear words that Kashmir is our internal matter, don't interfere in it." Shah said those words while addressing the public rally in Maharashtra's Buldhana, ahead of Maharashtra Assembly elections. Maharashtra, which has 288-member Assembly, will go to polls on 21 October, while the counting of votes will take place on 24 October.
Patna (Bihar), Oct 11 (ANI): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Oct 11 paid tribute to freedom fighter and social reformer Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Governor Phagu Chauhan and other leaders also paid tribute to the leader. Narayan, an Indian independence activist and socialist, was born in Sitabdiara village of Bihar's Saran district in 1902. In 1999, he was posthumously accorded with Bharat Ratna for the social work. This is the first time Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi made a public appearance after the latter skipped the Dussehra event fuelling speculations of a rift between the two alliance partners.

She was accompanied by her husband Nikhil Jain at Chaltabagan Durga Puja Pandal. 'Sindoor Khela' is a Bengali Hindu tradition where women smear each other with vermillion. Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 11 (ANI): Former Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice Chancellor Lt General (retired) Zameer Uddin Shah has said that Muslims should hand over the disputed land at Ayodhya to Hindus for the sake of lasting peace in the country. In an interactive session organised by the Indian Muslims for Peace, Shah said, "Supreme Court should give clear verdict, it should not be 'panchayati' at all. Even if Supreme Court gives judgment in favour of Muslims, will it be possible to build mosque there? It's impossible." He further said, "In case judgment is in favour of Muslims, for lasting peace in country, Muslims should hand over the land to Hindu brothers. There has to be a solution otherwise we will go on fighting. I strongly support out-of-court settlement."
