While speaking on a event on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Amit Shah said, "There are many countries in this world whose languages have become extinct. The country that loses its language can't preserve its culture."
Mumbai, Sep 14 (ANI): A massive fire broke out on the skywalk of Cotton Green Railway Station in Mumbai on September 14. Fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flame. Reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. No casualties have been reported yet. Further details are awaited.
Mumbai, Sep 14 (ANI): 'Dream Girl' stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat Bharucha and Annu Kapoor in lead roles. The movie was released in theatres on September 13 and witnessed a good opening day. While speaking to media, one of the moviegoer said, "I liked the movie very much and the best part was its dialogues and punches. The songs of movie were very average but I loved the light hearted film." Meanwhile, another moviegoer added, "The comedy in the movie is really fantastic. Situation, dialogue and one line punches were all good. All the actors have performed phenomenally in the movie." The movie is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa in which Ayushmann is playing the role of a guy who can talk in woman's voice.
Noida (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 14 (ANI): Long queues were seen at the Region Transport Office (RTO) in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on September 13. Queues were seen after implementation of new Motor Vehicles Act. While speaking to ANI, RTO officer said, "Earlier, people used to get a time slot for the driving license after 4-5 days. Now, they are getting it after a month." From higher penalties for driving errors to imprisonment up to one month for racing, speeding and up to six months for offences relating to accidents the new act is bringing back things in order by instilling fear.
Jalaun (UP), Sep 14 (ANI): A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was found decapitated on September 13, the statue was installed at Sri Gandhi Inter College in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun. While speaking about the incident Additional SP Awadhesh Singh said, "The statue has been reinstalled. FIR will be registered and action will be taken. Investigation will be done."

New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): NCP's Lok Sabha MP and a descendant of Shivaji Maharaja Udayanraje Bhosale joined BJP in the presence of party president Amit Shah and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. Udayanaraje Bhosale said Prime Minister Narendra Modi strengthen India with the decision of abrogation of Article 370. Udayanaraje's decision is yet another setback to NCP whose many prominent leaders, including some former ministers, have quit the party to join the BJP and Shiv Sena ahead of next month's state Assembly elections.
Kathmandu (Nepal), Sep 14 (ANI): Thousands of people gathered in Basantapur Durbar Square in Kathmandu on September 12 to mark the 'Indra Jatra' festival with much fervour and gaiety. Devotees pulled a chariot of living Goddess Kumari. Thousands of people lined up in the streets to get a glimpse and receive blessings from the Goddess. The eight-day festival, known as Yenya in Nepalese, is celebrated to honour Indra, the king of heaven and god of rain and harvest, as per the Hindu mythology. It is also known as the festival of deities and demons.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Sep 14 (ANI): The water has entered inside Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Indore following incessant rainfall in the state. Health Minister of Madhya Pradesh Tulsiram Silawat visited the hospital on September 13. Goalpara (Assam), Sep 14 (ANI): India's first detention centre is being built in Assam's Goalpara district. The construction work is in full swing at first detention centre in Goalpara district's West Matia area of Assam. There will be 15 four-storey buildings in the detention centre for those who do not qualify as Indian citizens. While speaking to ANI, Junior Engineer (JE) Rabin Das said, "The work on this project started in December 2018, our target is to complete it by December 2019. It is being done at an expense of around Rs 46 crore." "15 four-storey buildings is being built-13 for men and two for women. It will have separate toilets, hospital, kitchen, dining area, recreational area and school," he added. "There will be buildings for officers and grade 4 staff. It will have two security barracks. Gandhi ji had said that if a partition takes place, it will happen only over his dead body. He was disappointed and left for Bengal on the occasion of the first Independence Day. Had we understood that the partition took place only due to the ambitions of a few people, then the discussions on Jammu and Kashmir happening today would not have taken place.
