Nitish Kumar is CM from 15 years, should give a term to BJP: Sanjay Paswan

Patna (Bihar), Sep 09 (ANI): Sanjay Paswan, Bharatiya Janata Party leader said that Nitish Kumar should give BJP a chance for a term. While speaking to ANI, Sanjay Paswan said, "We trusted Nitish Kumar with the post of Bihar Chief Minister for 15 years, he should give us the chance for one term." The JD (U) recently placed a poster outside their party office in Patna which read, "kyun karein vichar jab hai hi Nitish Kumar" to which RJD responded by putting up a poster with a counter poem slamming the ruling party.

Posters raising human rights violations in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa appear outside UN

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 09 (ANI): Posters and banners highlighting human rights violations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were installed in front of the United Nations in Geneva. A tent has also been set up outside the United Nations in Geneva where special documentary on Baloch genocide will be screened. Several meetings will also be held in the tent in which human rights activists, Members of European Parliament and other NGOs will participate. 42nd session of UN Human Rights Council is underway at UN.

Godavari River crosses 50-feet mark in Telangana

There may be terrorist attack in India's southern part: Southern Command Army Chief

Pune (Maharashtra), Sep 09 (ANI): While speaking to mediapersons in Pune, Army Southern Command, GOC-in-C, Lt Gen S K Saini on September 09 said that they have got inputs that there may be a terrorist attack in southern part of India. "Some abandoned boats have been recovered from Sir Creek. We're taking precautions to ensure that designs of inimical elements and terrorists are stalled," he added.

MEA Secretary, former Indian envoy to Pak arrive at UN to attend UNHRC Session

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 09 (ANI): MEA Secretary (East), Vijay Thakur Singh and Former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria reached UN to attend at the ongoing 42nd UN Human Rights Session in Geneva on September 09. They will hold the meetings with groups and representatives of various countries to counter Pakistan's allegations of human rights violations in Kashmir. They also met UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet a few days ago and briefed her about situation in JandK after abrogation of Article 370.

4th Biju Patnaik Himalayan Expedition flagged off from Odisha

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Sep 09 (ANI): Odisha Sports and Youth Secretary Vishal Dev flagged off the fourth Biju Patnaik Himalayan Expedition from Kalinga Stadium in Odisha on September 09. The expedition will see 15 local students summiting Mt Stok Kangri in Ladakh from September 12th to 24th. While speaking to media, Vishal Dev said, "This is the fourth year, we started in 2016. The idea was to expose the young boys and girls of our state to adventure sports. We have done it successfully three times. 15 boys and girls have been selected. They will be going to Mt. Stok Kangri with a height of 20,187ft in the Leh Ladakh region. They will get to learn lessons in leadership and teamwork. They will be back on September 27." Stok Kangri peak is staggering 6,000 meter above sea level. The expedition is organised by Odisha's Sports and Youth department in association with Tata Steel Adventure Foundation.

Congress wants to make Bhopal city 'slum free': Digvijaya Singh

Kalraj Mishra takes oath as Rajasthan Governor

Jaipur (Rajasthan), Sep 09 (ANI): Former Union Minister Kalraj Mishra took oath as the Governor of Rajasthan at Raj Bhawan in Jaipur on September 09. Mishra replaced Kalyan Singh, who has completed his five year tenure. Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Shripathi Ravindra Bhat administered the oath to Mishra. Mumbai, Sep 03 (ANI): Director Ajay Bahl organised a special screening of his upcoming flick 'Section 375' in Mumbai. Actress Richa Chadha arrived for the screening looking beautiful in red dress. Swara Bhasker along with Amyra Dastur also came to the event. The movie is based on Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code and Akshaye Khanna plays role of defence lawyer in the movie. The film is scheduled to release on September 13.

Pak has no locus standi in India's internal matters: Tharoor on Pak raising JandK issue at UNHRC

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): Shashi Tharoor, Congress leader on Pakistan to raise Jammu and Kashmir issue at UNHRC said Pakistan has no right to bring an action as far as India's internal matters are concerned. While speaking to the media, Tharoor said, "Pakistan has no locus standi as far as India's internal matters are concerned. We are in opposition, we can criticise the govt but outside India, we are one. We won't give even an inch to Pakistan." Indian Army releases video of Pak's failed BAT squad infiltration bid

Kupwara (JandK), Sep 09 (ANI): The Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by a Pakistani BAT (Border Action Team) squad along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The action was performed by the Indian Army on the first week of August month. In the video taken by the Army's quadcopter, bodies of eliminated Pakistani Army regulars, terrorists along with equipment can be seen.

US Embassy celebrates Indo-American cultural ties

New Delhi [India], Sept 7 (ANI): United States' Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster on Friday hosted a cultural diplomacy event celebrating Indian culture with a special Kuchipudi dance performance featuring Y. Lalitha Sindhuri. During the event, Juster welcomed Indian cultural enthusiasts to Roosevelt House, the chief diplomatic residence of the US ambassador, in the US Embassy. Son kills father for not allowing him to play PUBG in Karnataka

Belgaum (Karnataka), Sep 09 (ANI): Youth killed his father allegedly for disallowing him to play PUBG game. The incident took place at Siddheshwar Nagar area of Karnataka's Belgaum. The deceased has been identified as Shankar, while the accused as Raghuveer Kumbar. Deceased Shankar had retired from police service just three months ago. Further investigation is on.

The child's parents did not know that their child was not there in the car and she had fallen. This entire incident was captured in CCTV. Delhi Police solves Naraina dacoity case, arrests six robbers

During the course of investigation CCTV Footage of the area were collected and analyzed. After the detailed analysis of CDR, CCTV footage of one of the accused namely Md Razi was identified. After sustained interrogation he disclosed that he committed this robbery along with his associates.
