IPL 2018 Eliminator: A do-or-die game for KKR and RR

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are all set to play the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata which has been the fortress for KKR Captain Dinesh Karthik and team. This is the last chance for both the sides to get a step closer to the finale. The Knights comparatively look strong on-paper while the Royals have been extremely lucky as far as their entry into the playoffs is concerned. While the losing team will be ousted from the tournament, the winner will later face the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 25 in the qualifier 2.

Chennai Super Kings seal final spot in IPL 2018

Mumbai (Maharashtra), May 23 (ANI): In an exhilarating display of performance in first qualifier, IPL team Chennai Super Kings managed to seal the deal with exceptional innings by, Man of the Match, Faf du Plessis 67 (42) against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. Final partnership between SN Thakur and Faf proved to be fruitful for team CSK to finish off the match in style five balls before the final ball. SRH's total score of 139 with the help of commendable knock by Brathwaite 43 (29) proved to be little short to defend. All eyes are now on second qualifier, which will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow. The winner of qualifier 2 will face SRH in qualifier 3.

IPL 2018 Qualifier 1: Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is all set to play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first qualifier of the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday. The match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both the sides have been phenomenal with an all-round performance in this season and have won nine games each. However, the SRH turned out to be the table toppers due to a higher net run rate. In addition, Kane Williamson and team had a great stint with the ball in this season but CSK was the only franchise to hammer them twice this year. The winner tonight will directly qualify to play the season finale on May 27 at the same venue while the losing side will get another chance to prove their mettle in the eliminators on May 25 at Eden Gardens.

IPL 2018 Qualifier 1, SRH vs CSK: Players to watch out for

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday in Mumbai. Both the teams are fully geared up and will battle with each other for the direct entry in the finals. Players to watch out for are, SRH's Kane Williamson who has been unstoppable at the top of the order with 661 runs including eight fifties, whereas CSK's Dhoni has turned back the clock scoring 446 runs at 89.20. The pacer, Lungi Ngidi, will post a challenge to SRH batsmen on the Wankhede wicket that supports pace, provides bounce as well as movement off the pitch. New Delhi, May 05 (ANI): Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who clinched gold at the recently-concluded 21st edition of the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, missed on a bronze medal but shattered his own national record by finishing fourth at the season-opening leg of the IAAF Diamond League.
