Search operation to find 8 missing underway for second day in Nepal's Karnali River

Humla (Nepal), June 20 (ANI): A search operation for a jeep that plunged into the Karnali River in Nepal's Humla district a day before, entered its second day on Wednesday. The search and rescue operation led by Nepal Police, the Army and the Armed Police Force has been underway since Tuesday afternoon after the jeep heading towards Kailebalu veered off the road and plunged into the Karnali River. Earlier, the Armed Police Force were flown to the most remote and mountainous district of Nepal. The fated jeep with the number LU 1 JA 7166 fell off into the river at around 12:15 PM on Tuesday. Though the exact number of people who were on board the jeep is not known, the names of eight people have been released. As per the District Administration missing persons along with the jeep are identified as Sindhu Shahi Hamal, Chandra Hamal, Mani Shahi, Nain Singh Bhandari, Basanti Shahi, Nanda Devi Singh, Gokul Sunar and Kaur Kami.

Nepal: Thousands of Nepalis flood streets demanding scrapping of 'Guthi Bill'

Kathmandu (Nepal), June 19 (ANI): Thousands of people have gathered in Nepal demanding the government to scrap the controversial Guthi Bill. The Nepal government in April tabled a bill through the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation at Upper House which proposes consolidation of all acts and amendments related to 'Guthis'. But the bill which came out without consultation and proper discussion with concerned parties has made people spill onto the streets. Local residents of Kathmandu Valley, especially the Newar Community who have serious dissatisfaction over the bill, are carrying out continuous protests, mass meetings and rallies since June 9. Anti-Pak protests held in London against police brutality in Muzaffarabad

London (United Kingdom), Jun 19 (ANI): A massive protest was organised by the Kashmiri diaspora outside Pakistan High Commission in London demanding justice against the police brutality against activists in Muzaffarabad city of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). New Delhi, June 15: A latest intelligence report reveals that Babbar Khalsa International, a pro-Khalistan group, is working to strengthen its network across Britain.The report says that Babbar Khalsa International is receiving funds from Pakistan's spy agency, the ISI, to expand their presence worldwide.
