Emtelle acquires majority stake in Parixit Industries

As part of its global expansion, Netherlands-based Emtelle Holdings BV has picked up majority stake in Parixit Industries, which has its production unit at Sanand near Ahmedabad. The Dutch company acquired stake in the local company to manufacture and market a range of micro-irrigation systems, PE pressure pipes, and ducted network solutions for telecom, power and infrastructure in the Indian as well as overseas markets. However, officials of both the companies declined to divulge the details of the deal.
Emtelle Holding, which has operations in UK, Europe, Asia and Australia, is a leading player in ducted network and blown fibre solutions. "This deal marks the entry of Emtelle in India and expands our product portfolio into drip and micro irrigation systems," said Sanjeev Kumar, Group Chief Executive, Emtelle.
Emtelle is on global expansion spree and the partnership with Parixit has marked its entry in India. With this alliance, the company expects to attain leadership position in micro irrigation systems and ducting network solutions for the telecom, power, water and infrastructure industry segments.
In order to set up its manufacturing base in India, the Dutch company was scouting for a domestic company having product portfolio, which could complement Emetelle products. The strategic location of the company and its manufacturing facility was another aspect that the foreign company was looking at. "Parixit Industries has its unit at Sanand in Ahmedabad, which is near to ports. We want to make our Indian unit an export hub for SAARC and Middle East countries. We found Parixit fit for alliance," Kumar added.
