J M Financial has notified the exchanges of a change in the promoter holding in the company. Anil Kampani and Harith Kampani, relatives of Nimesh Kampani, are no longer part of the promoter group of the company, bringing down the promoter shareholding in the company to 68.6%.
The decision was taken by the company at its meeting held on October 07 following a request by the two for non-inclusion of their names as promoters of the company, an exchange filing said.
The Mumbai-based financial services firm said that the names of Anil Kampani and Harith Kampani will be removed from the September quarter shareholding pattern filed with the exchanges.

The 13-lakh odd shares held by the two, which amounted to 0.18% of the total shareholding, will now be considered as part of the Nimesh Kampani-owned company’s public shareholding.
With this, the promoter shareholding of the company stands at 68.6% from 68.8% as at end June quarter. The promoter share-holding of the company will now comprise 51. 77 crore shares.
On Wednesday, the share price of J M Financial was up 4.3% to Rs 25.30 per share. The stock price saw a sharp uptake in the last hour of trading and touched a day’s high of Rs 25.90 per share.
