NHPC declares certificate of commercial operation for Unit 4 and whole of Teesta Low Dam HE Project

On 15 August 2016 and 19 August 2016 respectively

NHPC announced that consequent upon successful trial run of Unit No.# 4 of Teesta Low Dam H.E. Project, Stage IV (4 x 40 MW) at its installed capacity of 40 MW for continuous 20.08 hours on dated 15 August 2016, the unit No. #4 is hereby declared under commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 hours of 19 August 2016. Accordingly, COD of Power Station is also declared w.e.f. 00.00 hrs of 19 August 2016.

Further, inform that 100% Power generated from TLDP-IV has been allocated to the state of West Bengal and the same shall be supplied through West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL).
