Array of issues likely to make monsoon of Par session eventful

A meeting of the Chief Whips of different parties conveneed by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal today also saw demands for an all-party meeting before a final decision is taken on FDI in retail.

Demand for discussion on the issue of collapse of power grids, price rise, prices of diesel and petrol, reservation in promotions, forward contracts, Maoist violence, Lok Pal bill, declining confidence in corporate sector over economy were also made at the meeting.

Bansal said 31 bills will be taken up for consideration in the month-long session which will conclude on September 8.
