BJP announces candidate for graduate constituency

BJP today announced its candidate for Bareilly-Moradabad graduate constituency in bye-election to Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.

The party has announced Jaipal Singh "Vyasth" as its candidate for Bareilly-Moradabad seat in council bye-election, BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.

Bye-election for this seat has been necessitated after sitting BJP MLC Nepal Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha in general elections earlier this year.

A graduate constituency is one in which only graduates from any recognised Indian university can vote. This election is held once in six years.
