CPI-M announces 3 candidates for LS polls in Punjab

CPI-M today announced the names of the candidates for three of the 13 Lok Sabha seats it will contest in Punjab.

Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon will contest from Ludhiana, Balbir Singh Jandala from Anandpur Sahib and Joginder Singh from Sangrur, state party secretary Charan Singh Birdi said here.

CPI (M) has also decided to contest Jalandhar (Reserved) seat, he said adding the name of the candidate will be announced soon.

To a question, he told mediapersons that his party would support candidates of like-minded parties including People's Party of Punjab, CPI and Shiromani Akali Dal (Longowal) in others seats.
