IIEST to confer D Litt on former president Pranab Mukherjee

The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology will confer an honorary D Litt on former president Pranab Mukherjee at its convocation on March 4.

IIEST director Prof Ajoy Ray said it will bestow the D Litt (Honoris Causa) on Mukherjee for his role as a public figure and statesman stretching over decades.

The former president was awarded an honorary D Litt by the Jadavpur University in December last year.
