Young Indian was incorporated on November 23, 2010 and held its last AGM (Annual General Meeting) on May 15, 2012, as per the documents filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Suman Dubey, a senior journalist and former editor of "Indian Express", is the authorised signatory for the company which has been registered as a Section-25 private entity, the RoC documents show.
Besides Dubey, others involved with the new company include technocrat Sam Pitroda, who also serves as Adviser to the Prime Minister on Public Infrastructure, Information and Innovations.
Dubey and Pitroda could not be reached over phone for their comments despite repeated attempts, while emailed queries sent to them remained unanswered.
The finer details of the revival of the newspaper is believed to have been discussed at this AGM which was followed by a meeting of its board of directors to decide on the future course of action, sources in the know said.
The company has its registered office at Herald House here at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg where the erstwhile National Herald newspaper was also housed. The newspaper was founded by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1938 but closed down in 2008.
