Ayurveda expert gets Bhartiya Udyog Ratan Award

The Indian Economic Development & Research Association (IEDRA) has conferred the Bhartiya Udyog Ratan Award to Akash Sharma Rudra, managing director of Punjab-based Rudra Remedies Pvt Ltd in New Delhi, for contributions in the field of ayurveda research and manufacturing.

The company started commercial production in May this year with eight medicines for asthma, infertility, arthritis, acne, leukorrhoea, bronchitus, kidney stone, and prostate gland problems, based on 100-year-old knowledge and research.

Speaking to Business Standard, Rudra said, "The national award is a recognition of our enterprise and commitment to heal the suffering humanity through quality ayurvedic medicines."

"Our aim is to reach to as many customers and establish Rudra as a national company. In near future, we are also planning to set up unit in Himachal Pradesh," he added.
